August 26, 1920.

A date that changed American history.

On this day, the 19th Amendment was officially certified, giving women the constitutional right to vote after generations of women fought, marched, organized, and demanded to be heard. Today, we recognize that historic moment as Women’s Equality Day.

As the playwright of More Than Just Women, this day carries a special meaning for me.

My play takes us to 1952, during the polio epidemic, and tells the story of women who were intelligent, educated, capable, and courageous, yet still had to fight to be recognized for their knowledge, their voices, and their contributions.

The women who fought for the right to vote opened doors.

The women in More Than Just Women walked through those doors—and discovered that having a voice and being allowed to use it are two different things.

That struggle didn't end in 1920.

It continued in hospitals, workplaces, classrooms, communities, and anywhere women had to prove that they belonged.

That's why I wrote More Than Just Women.

Because women have always been more than just women.

We are doctors. We are leaders. We are creators. We are caregivers. We are professionals. We are visionaries. We are decision-makers.

And most importantly, we are people whose voices matter.

Today, I honor the women who fought for the right to vote, the women who came after them and continued the fight, and the women today who continue to challenge the barriers that remain.

Their stories matter.

Their voices matter.

And that is the heart of More Than Just Women.

Happy Women’s Equality Day.

YOU MAY HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE… BUT YOU HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED IT LIKE THIS!

If you experienced More Than Just Women in February, you may think you know the story.

Think again.

The heart of the story remains, but this production brings new plot twists, unexpected surprises, hilarious moments, and new layers that will have you looking at the characters—and the story—in a whole new way.

So if you saw it before, don't assume you already know what's coming.

And if you haven't seen it yet… whatever you do, don't let anyone spoil it for you!

MORE THAN JUST WOMEN

Same powerful story. New surprises. New laughs. New twists.
