I’m excited to share a New group exhibition I will be in with some talented friends at CityArts on Nov. 19th.
A Language of Our Own
Bringing together Mauricio Murillo, Danae Nunez, Ramiro Davaro-Comas, and Valheria Sanchez, A Language of Our Own is a group exhibition that considers Latinidad as a living, shifting language—shaped by music, family, memory, and the marks we leave behind. Across their distinct practices, the artists move between image, text, gesture, and rhythm, creating works that speak to the intimacy of cultural inheritance and the fluidity of contemporary identity. Together, the works resist a singular definition of Latinidad, instead embracing its multiplicity, humor, tenderness, and complexity.
Un Lenguaje Propio —que reúne a Mauricio Murillo, Danae Nunez, Ramiro Davaro-Comas y Valheria Sanchez— es una exposición colectiva que concibe la latinidad como un lenguaje vivo y cambiante, moldeado por la música, la familia, la memoria y las huellas que dejamos a nuestro paso. A través de sus diversas prácticas, los artistas transitan entre la imagen, el texto, el gesto y el ritmo, creando obras que aluden a la intimidad de la herencia cultural y a la fluidez de la identidad contemporánea. En conjunto, las obras se resisten a una definición única de la latinidad y, en su lugar, abrazan su multiplicidad, humor, ternura y complejidad.
