Weekly classes, private coaching's and audition tapings for children and adults. Trust me, my parents were all over it, but somehow I still managed to squeeze in just the right amount of Brady Bunch rerun’s and fresh episodes of Little House on The Prairie. So much so that for a while my parents were worried that my perception of reality was altered. Looking back they may have been right:)
I spe
nt a lot of time clipping out ad’s for modeling schools and classes, secretly hoping that I’d be the next Vanessa Huxtable. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t come out of my shell until my high school years. Lucky for me this was around the same time I realized that I could be just as happy making a career for myself behind the scenes. I’ve been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, as a former casting director and manager of talent for Nickelodeon and The N Networks, I’ve had the unique opportunity of working with and creating long lasting relationships with a cross section of talent. A a casting director I recognized early on that if we had more time in the room with actors, we would without a doubt draw out the BEST performance. Working with talent and seeing that ah ha moment (thank you Oprah) is something you can't put a price tag on. It's that moment that that keeps me loving what I do each and everyday. Kids and teens have an advantage when it comes to acting, they have huge imaginations and creative instincts that if left in tack and not stripped can take them to the next level. In a addition to casting for hit shows like "Dora the Explorer" and "Little Bill", I also oversaw casting initiatives and talent development of network talent for some of your favorite shows, including "South Of Nowhere", "Beyond the Break", and "Degrassi". Talent bookings include celebrity talent for Nick's Let's Just Play, KCA, Kelly Osbourne for the theme song to "OGRADY" and NAS for the theme song to "Miracles Boys" to name a few. I have a BA in Television and Film from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
