Outdoor fun and family activities draw thousands of Central Floridians to Lake Eola for the largest arts & crafts festival event series in Orlando, now in its 50th year of existence. While live entertainment, a huge amount of food options and a kids’ area highlight this event series that spans the entire walkway of Lake Eola (over a mile long), the real stars of Fiesta in the Park Series are the 3
00+ artists and crafters that come from all over the United States to display and sell their original work. The Fiesta in the Park Series is presented by Your Local Ford Dealers and is promoted across seven Cox Media Group radio stations.

It's almost time! We're just a few days away from the 51st Annual Fall Fiesta in the Park at Lake Eola.
On Saturday, be sure to head over to the amphitheater stage to enjoy music from 2 Happy Ukers, presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater!

Artist spotlight: Sam Selig of New Elementz; woodwork
New Elementz is a family-owned business based in Central Florida. We believe that if you strive to provide the very best service to every customer and produce a quality product, people will come back and happily refer their friends and family.

Orange County Library System (FL) will be joining us at the 51st Annual Fall Fiesta in the Park!
Orange County Library System and Fiesta in the Park have had a long-standing relationship. Our Founder Corbin Sarchet was an avid reader. He started the tradition that Fall Fiesta in the Park would purchase and donate the Best of Show artwork to the library. Over the years the library has received many pieces that are displayed at the Downtown library and many of the branches. Fiesta in the Park commissioned ceramic artist Vince Sansone to create a piece that reflected Corb. He created the piece, The Perfect Combination, which is on display at the West Oaks branch in west Orlando. Stop by and visit this whimsical piece.

Artist spotlight: Eric Larson, Winter Park Soaps
Many skin products nowadays are filled with chemicals that don't actually help you. Quality should never be a compromise. No matter what skin care or health product you're looking for, essential oils or organic soaps, we guarantee reliability and quality.

Artist spotlight: John Gilbert, watercoloirist
John Gilbert is a plein air watercolorist and a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Fine Arts who has participated in juried art shows, receiving honors and awards and has done commission work. He is an active member of The Florida Watercolor Society and The Watercolor Society of North Carolina. He groups up with plein air painters in Florida and North Carolina.

Artist spotlight: Jeff Rogers; stoneware pottery
My most primary materials are passion and intention in complex long term relationship with earth, water, fire, and spirit. The results of this happy collision are solid objects, each infused with love, and each with the overt and covert intention to enhance the lives of those who encounter and use them on a daily basis! I take deep artistic joy in producing functional and sculptural pottery for any occasion, be it a gourmet meal prepared by a professional chef in a fine restaurant, or the simple, yet elegant ritual of the daily meal time shared between family and friends.
For me, pottery making is a metaphor for life. The process of transforming common clay through forming and fire provides endless joy and satisfaction. But the final satisfaction comes when the pot, whether sculptural or utilitarian, finds its end home in someone's life. To conceive and produce custom handmade dinnerware for restaurants or individuals has proven to be one of the most satisfying experiences in my life.
Pottery making has taken me around the world in the nearly 30 years since I began my first apprenticeships, first with Charles Counts at Rising Fawn Pottery, in Rising Fawn, Ga., and later with Suzy and Nigel Atkins at La Potterie Du Don in Montsalvy, France. Still today, more than ever, I find my deepest joy in making pots that enhance the daily fabric of peoples’ lives. What greater, or more sacred privilege could a human being be given than this?

Artist spotlight: Carol Napoli of New Smyrna Beach.
Carol was last year's Best of Show winner at Spring Fiesta in the Park. Stop by her booth to view her beautiful acrylic paintings.
Carol's current works are developed using acrylic paint of 300 lb. rag paper or board. The paintings are built of layers of paint and acrylic mediums worked over with various washes of transparent color. These textured areas create interest in the surface and direct the eye within the compositions. The works display a “history” of marks and images, which have been created by the previous layers. Charcoal is often used mixed with mediums to offer various blacks and drawing marks. The weaving process of surface, color, images and abstracted compositional shapes are the tools used to form narrative themes expressing life in spiritual terms.
She enjoys both the formal aspects of art and its less easily defined intuitive and emotional side. She has a desire to create images that speak to the heart as well as bringing interest and delight to the viewer.
Carol received her B.F.A. degree from Florida State University in 1976. She has been painting and showing her work throughout the country for the past 30 years. Carol and her husband sculptor, Jerry Napoli have established their studios in New Smyrna Beach, FL where they have raised their two children while creating and exhibiting their art.

Spring Fiesta in the Park Featured Artist: Ricky Steele of Panama City, FL.
Ricky is a "Best of Show" winner at Spring Fiesta. An artist becomes a storyteller with brushes and strokes of color and vibrance. Ricky's designs mirror the emotions of our lives and bring to light stories of the past and present.
His designs tell the stories of poverty, race, segregation, and life's challenges. He also creates works to enhance one's understanding of the joy of childhood, the beauty of mankind, and the love of family ties. Each piece magically touches you in a way that tugs at your heart strings and helps you to understand our history.
Ricky Steele's designs are one man's creative look at humanity.
Now that it's March 1st, we can officially say "see you next month"! Who else can't wait for Spring Fiesta in the Park?
