Meet the cast of Bach to the Future! ⚡

In this year's Young People's Concerts, audiences will go on a musical journey through time and space to help a lost time traveler, Millie Second, return home.

Featuring the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra on a mix of beloved classical works and popular favorites, the performance also includes singers from Opera Orlando and dancers from Orlando Ballet Company and School!

Did you know our Young People’s Concerts, presented by Walt Disney World, are taught in elementary music classrooms across five Central Florida counties?

On August 19, music educators from Orange County Public Schools, Osceola County School District, Volusia County Schools, and Lake County Schools gathered at The Plaza Live for professional development focused on this year’s Young People’s Concert Guidebook. We'll be hosting an additional session offsite for Seminole County educators next week.

Each piece featured in the concert comes with a lesson plan created by a music educator, giving 3rd–5th grade students the opportunity to explore musical vocabulary, genres, composers, and more in their classrooms before experiencing the performance live.

This year’s theme, Bach to the Future, takes students through different eras and styles of music across history. And when they attend the concert, they’ll be ready to engage, participate, and even sing along!

The performance also includes appearances with Orlando Ballet Company and School and Opera Orlando. Our Young People’s Concerts reach more than 70,000 students annually, making it the largest program of its kind in the country. 🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined on Saturday for our sold out performance of Sol y Sabor: A Celebration of Culture & Music! 🇵🇷🎶

We had an amazing afternoon celebrating the culture and music of Puerto Rico, performing with Kalindá, and loved seeing everyone dance and sing along! We also loved seeing summer camp students from Alianza Center perform before the concert, showcasing their incredible talent.

This event strives to unite the community and celebrate what makes Orlando unique and beautiful. It was incredible to see the turnout for our second year of this series, where we partner with local musicians and non-profits to bring the community together with music as a catalyst and unifier.
