My heart somehow cried when I decided not to push through in watching Dear Evan Hansen despite having a ticket to the show.

But all thanks to some supportive friends, I was still able to get some souvenirs. I hope to witness the show the soonest.

And I made it to the festival. ❤️

Lots of laugh, by the way, whenever Ms Eugene Domingo utters a comedic line. I can always recall her “Hey Jack, hey, hey-py birthday, hey yay!” iconic line in the movie Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo!

Arielle Jacobs, Broadway’s Princess Jasmine. It was nice seeing her perform again, this time as Cinderella.

Mark Bautista, one proud bisaya making a name in the theater scene. Happy Birthday, by the way!

It’s also lovely to see real-life couples perform on one stage, the “kilig” factor is different, i’m referring to Mr and Mrs Nyoy and Mikkie Bradshaw Volante.

Nic Chien, of course, who would not be as disciplined as him if your mom is Ms Lea Salonga and your uncle is Maestro Gerard Salonga.

And lastly, of course, the one and only, Ms Lea Salonga, the Philippines’ Broadway superstar. Three slow claps.

Into The Woods gathered the best people in the industry to mount such wonderful musical. Congratulations, Theater Group Asia!

GMG Productions recently announced their last production for season 2025-2026, and it’s Les Misérables World Tour Spectacular. A concert-like stage production of the musical where the orchestra is on the stage along with the actors. Yes, it’s not a touring musical like the one in London, rather, a show where the songs are more emphasized.

I had my share of story about Les Mis. Back in 2016, Les Misérables was brought to Manila with no other than Rachelle Ann Go playing the role of Fantine. Unfortunately, due to prior commitments, I wasn’t able to witness it and I must admit, it was a total heartbreak, I even asked a friend to get me a souvenir programme and CD (Pampalubag loob sa sarili). 2018 came and I thought they had a show in New York, but to no avail.

Fast forward to yesterday, finally, Les Misérables is coming back to Manila, though not the usual touring production, but browsing through some videos on social media, it still is a show worth-watching. After watching it come January and there would be a chance for me to watch the full musical production soon as well, of course, i’ll still watch it.

Les Misérables World Tour Spectacular will run from January 20 to February 15, 2026 at The Theatre at Solaire. Tickets start selling on August 4-5 for Unionbank Visa cardholders.
