Almost, Maine meets SNL Eight playful stories of ❤️ in one fun, fast, flirty QUICKIES show.

Individually, these short plays have been produced from Orlando and Miami to NYC, London to LA. I wrote them over years of my life, reimagining my own personal ❤️ longings into universal comedy to make people laugh. And now, in a once-in-ever experience for Valentine's week (Feb. 14-18 only), you can enjoy a whole evening of QUICKIES, one right after the other!

As you know, I've also embarked into filmmaking, leveraging my stage-writing experience to create screen stories, the first three of which each won Best Picture and some 20 total awards with Orlando Indie Filmmakers. But theatre is my first ❤️ and the only place where the audience members are equal players with those on the stage.

CASTING CALL for original new short play, to debut as part of Fourth Man Productions’ second annual theatrical event, Acts of Love.

CAPTAIN CREMAINS CHARACTERS

VERA ​(female, 50’s up)
Captain Cremains. A former romance novelist, the owner of Ashes to Ocean. A widow who’s stayed connected to her deceased husband by staying on the sea but has avoided navigating love again.

CLAY GRUBER​ (male, 50’s up)
A successful but neurotic pool builder afraid of water battling seasickness — and the memory of a complex relationship with his recently deceased father.

BEA​ (female, 60’s up)
A retired Kindergarten teacher turned local Tampa Bay ukulele jam leader, Princess UkuLeia, donning white/gray buns. In her own cheery world. Must play ukulele or be willing/able to learn quickly.

RICHIE ​(male, 60’s up)
An avid angler intent on catching Grouper. The big-hearted bastard. The focused fisherman fond of silence who serves as his vibrant wife’s foil in their playful long-time married banter.
