If you’ve noticed a little delay in our posts lately, here’s why:

Our account has been reported to Meta by individuals who have raised concerns about the content we share. We’ve been working through the review process and are successfully demonstrating what we’ve always known:

🎭 Our mission is to educate, engage, inspire, and celebrate storytelling.

Today, September 11th, we pause to remember, reflect, and honor the spirit of service and community represented by this National Day of Service.

We’re especially honored to share Thorin Rose’s reading of:

Tiffany Epiphany celebrates the unique gifts, perspectives, challenges, and possibilities of children with autism—and reminds us that every person has something meaningful to contribute.

Thorin brings that celebratory spirit to this story in a way that is uniquely their own. 🎭⚡🌈

As a proud drag king and proud autistic person who celebrates their autism as their SUPERPOWER, Thorin shows us that service can take many forms: showing up, sharing your gifts, supporting your community, and creating spaces where others feel seen and valued.

Thorin also participates and volunteers with Rose Dynasty Foundation, our fiscal sponsor and production partner. Their commitment to community makes today’s reading especially meaningful.

On a day centered around service, we celebrate someone who gives back by sharing their time, talent, voice, and authentic self.

For the third time, our YouTube and Meta accounts were flagged for inappropriate content. Literally humans talking about literacy and inclusion - and reading children’s stories.

We fought back and we will be able to share links later this afternoon. This isn’t unexpected and it’s nothing we aren’t prepared for. And it’s quite literally the whole point of why Storytime Safe Space exists.
