Selene – Shadow Rider of the Adventurer’s Guild

Selene is spoken of quietly in the halls of the Adventurer’s Guild, not because she is unknown, but because her story still unsettles even the most seasoned riders. She remains the only rider in Guild memory to have been chosen by a dragon while still a child.

Most riders spend years training before they ever stand before a dragon’s fire. Selene never had that luxury. The story goes that the dragon found her first. No one knows exactly how or why the bond formed so early, only that the dragon claimed her long before the Guild believed she was ready. From that moment forward, her path was sealed.

Raised among riders and warriors, Selene grew quickly into the discipline the Guild demands. She is known not for loud victories but for sharp instincts, quiet observation, and a loyalty that runs deeper than most realize. Those who fight beside her trust her without question.

There is something else about Selene that the Guild has never fully explained. She moves comfortably in shadow, as if the darkness itself recognizes her. Some say the bond with her dragon awakened that ability. Others believe the shadows were part of her long before the dragon ever found her.

Selene rarely speaks of it herself.

What is known is this: where shadows gather, Selene is never far behind, watching, waiting, and standing ready to defend the Guild she calls home.

Welcome to the Adventurer’s Guild. ⚔️

Far beyond the courts and castles of Alluxia lies the Dragon Lair, where volcanic mountains scrape the sky, dragons soar overhead, and courage is valued above titles.

Here you’ll find Wyll Hallowshade, keeper of the Torched Tavern. James, the Crownbreaker who abandoned a throne to forge her own destiny. Eldaria, the mercenary who taught her how to survive. Selene, chosen by a dragon while still a child. Ash, bonded to the ancient Smoke Dragon, Nyx. Trillian, the fearless warrior who emerged from fire with no memory of his past. Sephie, a master strategist whose bond with the ancient dragon Mordo-Anga makes her as formidable as she is difficult to kill. And Pisces, the healer who mends both body and spirit.

Together they stand among the riders, adventurers, and dragon-bonded heroes preparing for the trials ahead.

Because in the Dragon Lair, legends are not remembered.

The Shadow Realm was not born from evil.

It was born from exile.

Ruled by Lord Draven beneath crimson moons and haunted forests, this realm became a refuge for the feared, the forgotten, and the misunderstood after the murder of the Fae High Lord shattered the Winter Court forever.

Some believe Draven guilty.
Others believe the truth was buried the night he was cast out.

At his side walks Ereval, the great shadow wolf said to be the only witness to what truly happened beneath the celestial boughs.

And throughout the cursed forests blooms Nyxbane, a deadly flower tied to grief, betrayal, and the lingering scars of old magic.
