Anthony R. Smith (Sound Design) is a sound designer, composer, actor, and musician based out of Orlando. Anthony has a BA in Theatre from Florida State University where he sound-designed several shows including Amadeus and Murder at the Prom as well as new plays like Quentin G. by Joshua Mikel, for which he also composed music. Anthony works full-time at Universal Orlando Resort as an audio technician and special assignment sound designer/composer, where he regularly works on Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, special events, etc. Local theatre credits include sound designer for The SpongeBob Musical at The Orlando Rep, sound designer for Cinderella at CFCArts and sound designer/composer for Quills. Orlando Fringe Festival credits include sound designer/composer for Hello by John Mark Crawford which toured all around the state and up to Edmonton, Canada; composer for Goodbye also by John Mark Crawford which had an Off Broadway run at the Soho Playhouse; and composer, lyricist, and sound designer for Ferris Bueller's Day Off: The Unofficial Musical based off the John Hughes film, book by Katie Ford and Robert Johnston. He is currently performing in Your Mom’s In My Top 8 at The Abbey as part of Fringe’s BYOV.
