A Belizean student is celebrating a major academic milestone after successfully completing her studies at one of the top public universities in the United States.

Unique Carcamo announced that on May 16th, 2026, she will graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology along with a minor in Public Health.

In reflecting on her journey, Carcamo shared that she always believed her dream was possible and described the past four years as a period that challenged, strengthened, and shaped her into the woman she is today.

The Belizean graduate expressed gratitude for her educational journey and her time at the university, noting that while one chapter is closing, another is just beginning.

Carcamo also shared the inspirational scripture, “God is within her, she will not fail” from Psalm 46:5, as she marked the achievement.

Her accomplishment is being celebrated by family, friends, and supporters who see her success as an inspiration to young Belizeans pursuing higher education abroad.
