🎥✨ Digging through my old home videos recently, I came across this footage I filmed during a visit to Disney-MGM Studios back in 1994.

🌈 This particular moment captures the iconic Wizard of Oz scene from The Great Movie Ride, when the Wicked Witch of the West suddenly appeared in a cloud of smoke to confront guests before vanishing and sending us on our way down the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City. 🧙‍♀️💨

It's amazing how well these scenes hold up more than 30 years later. And for longtime Disney Parks fans, there's an interesting rumor that's floated around for years: that the Wicked Witch animatronic from this scene may have eventually been repurposed into Kylo Ren aboard Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. 🌟🚀 Disney has never confirmed it, but it's one of those fun pieces of park lore that makes revisiting footage like this even more interesting.

📼 A small piece of Disney history preserved on my family's camcorder and now shared all these years later. ❤️

Registration is now scheduled to open on Monday, June 8 at 10:00 AM ET.

After the unexpected delay, many runners have been eagerly waiting for news, and it looks like a new date is officially in place.

Disney Springs has announced new procedures for merchandise event days, including Tuesday pin release days.

To help create a more fair and accessible experience for all guests, the Disney Springs parking garages and rideshare loops will now open at 7 a.m. on merchandise event days. Guests arriving before that time will be asked to return at 7 a.m.

Another significant change is that wristband distribution will now take place in a single queue at a single location within the Lime Garage. This updated process is designed to ensure all guests have access to the same line regardless of their ability or need to use stairs or elevators.

The changes also effectively bring an end to overnight waiting and camping out for pin releases and other merchandise events, creating a more structured and equitable experience for collectors and traders alike.
