✨ A New Look for EPCOT’s World Celebration Gardens! 🌐

A once-illuminated feature of EPCOT’s World Celebration Gardens has undergone a significant transformation, as the original in-ground lighting has been replaced with decorative concrete.

Introduced in December 2023, the illuminated pathways were designed to complement Spaceship Earth’s nighttime lighting sequences. However, following recurring technical and maintenance issues, the lighting strips have now been removed.

Newly completed sections reveal light-colored concrete filled with reflective, glass-like fragments and hundreds of tiny shimmering particles that sparkle in the sunlight.

While the pathways will no longer illuminate independently, the original curved patterns remain intact, preserving the familiar design inspired by the EPCOT logo.

Meanwhile, rolling planter barriers remain in place as work continues on additional sections of the gardens.

🌿 A new gateway to adventure is taking shape at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! 🏗️

Construction continues to make exciting progress on the grand entrance archway that will soon welcome guests into Pueblo Esperanza, the heart of the new Tropical Americas land!

Over the past several weeks, the structure has undergone a remarkable transformation, progressing from exposed steel framework to a recognizable architectural centerpiece. Now, crews are bringing the next layer of detail to life, with freshly applied stucco, sculpted stonework, and weathered architectural features beginning to give the gateway its distinctive character.

A closer look reveals textured surfaces, carefully shaped stone details, and sections of the archway being prepared for additional finishing work. Once complete, the structure will feature warm red tones, aged plaster, exposed stonework, and lush vegetation, creating the appearance of a historic entrance that has stood for generations.

Inspired by the architecture and cultures of Central and South America, Pueblo Esperanza will transport guests into a vibrant community surrounded by the beauty of the tropical rainforest.

Tropical Americas will introduce new adventures inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones, along with additional experiences throughout the village.

✨ With each new detail, the vision of Pueblo Esperanza is becoming a little more real!

⚡ A familiar scar is returning to the Hollywood Tower Hotel! 🏨

As the extensive exterior refurbishment of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror continues at Disney's Hollywood Studios, one of the attraction's most iconic original details is making a dramatic comeback!

Originally introduced with the attraction's opening in 1994, the dramatic purple lightning-strike markings gradually lost their prominence over the decades. Now, as the Hollywood Tower Hotel undergoes its latest exterior refurbishment, these iconic details are being brought back to their original vibrancy.

The markings tell an important part of the Hollywood Tower Hotel's mysterious history, recalling that fateful Halloween night in 1939 when lightning struck the building and five individuals mysteriously vanished.

As work progresses, previously concealed sections are beginning to reveal refreshed architectural details, carefully recreated weathering, and a renewed appearance that honors the attraction's original design.

And through it all, the hotel continues welcoming guests brave enough to check in! 🛎️

✨ On this day in 1989, a world of discovery came to life at EPCOT!

Today marks 37 years since the opening of the Wonders of Life pavilion on October 19, 1989, bringing an unforgettable blend of science, imagination, and interactive entertainment to Future World.

Housed beneath its iconic golden dome, the pavilion invited guests to explore the fascinating world of the human body through experiences like Body Wars, Cranium Command, and the Sensory Funhouse. From thrilling journeys through the bloodstream to helping Buzzy navigate the human brain, Wonders of Life captured the spirit of discovery that made early EPCOT so special.

Although its original attractions closed in 2007, the pavilion's story didn't end there. In 2019, plans were unveiled to transform the space into the interactive PLAY! pavilion, featuring character-inspired experiences, games, and hands-on activities. However, the project has since been put on hold, with no confirmed opening timeline or updated plans announced.

While the future of the golden dome remains uncertain, Wonders of Life continues to hold a special place in EPCOT history and in the memories of generations of guests.

During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom this week, Jack Skellington’s puppeteers kept the performance going after an unexpected mishap. By the finale, it was time for “B-mode Jack” to take over!

An unexpected trick for Jack Skellington this week at Magic Kingdom! 🎃💀

The Pumpkin King lost an arm during his performance at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, giving his puppeteers an unexpected challenge. They carried on with the performance, proving that some of the most impressive moments onstage are the ones nobody rehearsed.

By the end of the show, it was time for “B-mode Jack” to step in and help bring the evening to a close.

✨ A Great Big, Beautiful Tomorrow is Taking Shape! ✨

An exciting new chapter is on the horizon for Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom, and these new looks offer a closer glimpse at the attraction’s biggest transformation in decades!

Currently featured inside Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the exhibit showcases newly designed costumes for John and Sarah, along with detailed models and concept artwork revealing how Walt Disney Imagineering is bringing the beloved attraction into a new era.

John’s updated 1969 costume draws inspiration from his appearance in the finale of the original 1964–65 New York World’s Fair production, while Sarah’s futuristic gold and blue ensemble combines classic silhouettes with forward-thinking materials.

The accompanying artwork and models reveal a nostalgic kitchen setting and a remarkable vision of tomorrow, complete with a sunken conversation area, a dramatic fireplace, and futuristic architecture inspired by original concept designs from Disney Legend John Hench.

The reimagined attraction will take the Carousel family through four entirely new time periods:

🌕 1969: The family gathers to witness the historic Apollo 11 moon landing.

🎃 1985: Halloween night brings Sarah into the spotlight as modern appliances and household technology transform everyday life.

🎉 1999: The family prepares to welcome the new millennium as the internet begins connecting the world.

🚀 The Distant Future: A spectacular vision of tomorrow explores robotic assistance, space travel, and the possibilities of innovation.

Perhaps the most meaningful addition will be an entirely new opening scene featuring an Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney himself, inspired by the 1964 television special Disneyland Goes to the World’s Fair. The scene will recreate elements of Walt’s original presentation, bringing the attraction's history full circle.

Disney Legend Jamie Lee Curtis and Emmy-winning actor Bryan Cranston will also lend their voices to Sarah and John, while the beloved Sherman Brothers classic, There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, remains part of the experience.

With an anticipated reopening in late spring 2027, this ambitious reimagining promises to honor Walt Disney’s original vision while introducing a new generation to the enduring spirit of progress.

Walt brought the creative vision, while Roy provided the business leadership and unwavering support that helped turn those dreams into reality. Together, they laid the foundation for something neither could have fully imagined.

103 years later, their legacy lives on in every story told, every castle illuminated, every attraction experienced, and every magical memory shared between generations.

From a small studio in Hollywood to the Disney Parks we cherish today, what began as a dream between two brothers has become a part of millions of lives around the world.

🚧 Monstropolis Construction Update at Disney's Hollywood Studios! 👾

Another busy week of construction is underway as the former Muppets Courtyard continues its transformation into the future home of Monstropolis!

The latest photos reveal extensive scaffolding surrounding several buildings, with crews actively working on exterior surfaces, architectural details, and decorative trim.

Closer views highlight ongoing work around the rooftop water tower, the colorful roof shingles, and the exposed mounting supports for the upcoming Glob Theater marquee.

It's exciting to watch these familiar buildings gradually take on a new identity as the world of Monsters, Inc. comes to life with new dining experiences and a first-of-its-kind suspended roller coaster!

🏨 A Closer Look at the Tower of Terror's Ongoing Refurbishment

Checking in today October 15th, work is still progressing on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios with some interesting details becoming visible as crews make progress on the Hollywood Tower Hotel's exterior.

While sections of scaffolding have recently been removed from the side of the building, additional scaffolding has been installed around the lower levels as refurbishment work continues.

A closer look reveals several areas of the hotel's exterior that have been primed for painting, including decorative balcony railings and architectural details. Some sections now feature a fresh gray coating, contrasting with the familiar weathered appearance of the attraction.

Even the Hollywood Tower Hotel's iconic lettering is receiving some attention, with refurbishment work underway on the famous sign high above the attraction's entrance. A closer look reveals several letters undergoing surface preparation and repainting as crews continue restoring one of the attraction's most recognizable features.
