Felt to Life by Tracy Whitney

Felt to Life by Tracy Whitney Each piece is carefully Needle Felted using wool. I love making these guys. More importantly, they make me smile. I hope you smile too. Hello.

My name is Tracy Whitney. I fell in love with needle felted creatures the minute I saw them and had to learn this art. Now, I take great pride in my little creations. I truly love each piece but I know they need new homes. All items are tightly felted so they will be around for a long time. I have three pairs of little hands that inspect my work so most items can be handled by small children if su

pervised. I hope you will find something you love. If you don't please contact me and I will create it for you. You can visit my shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/FeltToLife

I’m constantly impressed by the MANY great talents and personalities in my community. Recently I met a wonderful person and fantastic artist Renee-Lucie Benoit . She and her husband are the caretakers for Grindstone Ranch and she has recently started blog writing for www.cappersfarmer.com (a website filled with practical information on small farms and “homemade life”). She wrote an article on my needle felting and I am so excited to share it with you.

I love that this article is also a tutorial so if you have any questions please ask !

I have been slowly felting during the evening hours and trying to build my felting time back up after a much needed break. I have been busy with family colds and a flu, cleaning and organizing (I think I felted a little to much during the previous 5 months), Easter Break, Stonyford Rodeo, and now starting on the yard, garden and snake proofing.
I have been asked to make a Precious Cat and a couple hedge hogs. The cat isn't cute yet. He will be on here soon. Also, there will be some exciting news in the next post.

Last Saturday's sale was so much fun. There are some amazing artist in this area! My cuddling cats, hedgehogs and some other peices sold. This is my second order of the "Bunny Trio". I hand delivered my Bunnies to a local resident today (picture below). I still have some spring and easter peices left. There is even a blank egg that I can add any picture to.

I wanted to Thank those supporting me and wishing this buisness well. It means a lot to me.

I still have a couple more things to do on him but he is very close to done. I will have better pictures later this week when he isn't trying to fly away in this wind. I loved how he turned out and will be at the Craft sale this Saturday.

New Hedgehogs! Getting ready for the Elk Creek Arts and Craft sale. Our original hedgy finally sold on etsy so I made more. The one on the right is Sky. That's what happened when I felt from 9:30 to 12:30 at night. I needed natural light to see there was deep blue wool blended with the grey and white. Any name ideas for the others?
