انضمّوا النا في ورشة التطريز الفلسطيني في وطن عمّان ، وبنحيي من خلالها فنّ ارتبط بحكايات الناس وأرضهم.
خلال الورشة، كل مشارك رح يشتغل على تعليقة مطرزة بإيده يحتفظ فيها كتذكار فني من تجربة خاصة.

في الورشة رح نتعلّم:
أساسيات التطريز الفلاحي اليدوي.
نتعرّف على أنواع الغرز والأقمشة والأدوات المستخدمة.
نطبّق عملياً نقشات من مدن ومناطق فلسطينية.

أسيل الشعر: مدرّبة تطريز متخصصة منذ أكثر من ست سنوات في مجال التطريز الفلسطيني وكل ما يتعلق فيه من تاريخ وتصميم وتنسيق.

المكان: وطن عمّان

🇵🇸 Wave after wave. 🇵🇸

I think about how different the current cultural context is from just a decade ago; and I remember at my start of organizing—really, when BDS was starting to gain traction at universities—others observed the same contrast as a few years passed.

I started painting this around the time of the last —a literalistic illustration of everyday folks making the voyage at sea, attempting to break the siege on Gaza. It took countless haphazard sittings to finish it, but now I think about the little sessions I could manage to chip away at finishing this illustration. And I think about water’s erosive properties—slow, almost indiscernible, and infatigable.

And I think of radical hope.

I think of every late night spent before an action, of bringing up Palestine in the most mundane circumstances, of every ayah memorized in the face of constant violence, of the moments spent between joy and anxiety and anger spread across a year of fighting deportation—all of these and more…

One month left until Ramadan arrives. 🌙✨ What are you doing to prepare for this holy month?

We are blessed with the months of Rajab and Sha’ban to prepare ourselves for the holiest month of the year. This can include:

💡Starting fasting from now, reducing your caffeine intake, and paying attention to the foods you eat.
💡 Read Quran, even if it’s just a line a day!
💡 Wake up earlier for Qiyam Al-Layl.
💡 Practice thikr and istighfar, prepare your duaas, and send your salamat to the Prophet (pbuh).

May we all be allowed to observe this coming Ramadan! ❤️
