🎨 Announcing a new weekly ADULT ILLUSTRATION summer session with an incredible new instructor! This 10-week class starts next week on June 3rd and takes place each Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm at SCERA Art Studios. Register online at scera.org/events/adult-illustration

CLASS is an artistic balance between classic art techniques and concept design. Students will learn how to create characters and set scenes with color and light leading to an art piece with storytelling elements. This course will also help with portraiture and the portrayal of the human figure.

INSTRUCTOR Katherine Latey-Olpin is a graduate student studying History at the University of Edinburgh. She graduated from BYU studying European Studies and had a senior exhibition in the BYU Library titled “The Feminine History.” This exhibition was from Katherine’s painting portfolio and focused on highlighting different women across countries and time. She loves the interplay between illustration and the masses in a historical sense and is a firm believer that art connects people across time! ATTACHED IS SOME OF HER WORK.
