Choose your design, create your own, use one of our templates or freestyle it on the fly. During the kinusaiga workshop, I’ll help you design your piece, demonstrate best practices, and help you complete your very own no-sew fabric art piece.
We will have a handful of templates for you to choose from but come with ideas and we can get creative together!
August is full but there are new dates added for September and October on the calendar! We usually allow 3 hours to complete. Some finish sooner and others stay for a bit…you’re welcome to hang out and tuck fabric as long as you like. 🫶

I spent the morning with Sydney at the Oregon City Festival of the Arts and WOW- my creative heart is full. They’re open until 4, so if you need a little inspiration boost, go wander through, grab lunch, listen to music, and meet the artists who make this community shine. It was so fun seeing Andrea Chebeleu Andrea welcoming us at the front entrance - gave her a big hug.

I left with dog goodies from Nicole Shields, a hydrangea‑and‑resin necklace for Sydney’s senior pics from Recollected Pieces Jewelry, a pottery bowl that feels exactly like the ones my mom used to collect (apparently I’ve reached that era of life) from Longfellow Pottery, and a tiny blue pottery flower for my garden with a sparkly center that I’m obsessed with from Neely South.

Parking was easy, the silent auction is amazing (and still going, plus you don’t have to be present to win), and the whole event is overflowing with talent — far more than I could ever tag or shout out.

Huge love to Three Rivers Art Guild Three Rivers Artist Guild and the City of Oregon City City of Oregon City for putting on such a beautiful festival. First time attending, definitely not the last Oregon City Festival of the Arts.

We hosted our first dome ring class with Shelby of Modeco Jewelry and they turned out absolutely beautiful! The jewelry classes are intentionally small and hands on - and always sell out. It’s something special making something with your own hands that’s timeless - you’ll wear forever.

✨ Origami Night + Sake Flight = YES PLEASE ✨

We’ve got a very special evening coming up at māk, the perfect happy hour- Portland artist Ervanny Astari is joining us to teach her gorgeous, gallery‑worthy origami art. If you’ve ever seen her work, you know it’s the kind of piece you want framed on your wall forever.

During class, you’ll learn how to fold:

✨ New Doggo Alert at māk! ✨

Kristen Engel’s golden doodle painting officially has a new home — a sweet customer from Kansas City fell in love with him the moment she sootted him. We made a few tiny tweaks so he matched her own pup perfectly, and he’s already on his way back to KC. We love a good art adoption story.

Which means… his spot on the wall is now filled with a brand‑new Doggo. This handsome guy is a Bernese Mountain Dog in the same dreamy blue palette, and he is such a love. He doesn’t have a name yet, so come meet him in person and drop your best name ideas below. 💙🐾

And speaking of Kristen — she’s back in the studio this Thursday with one of the most fun workshops we’ve hosted. It’s a collage + drawing mashup where you get to build your own quirky little characters inspired by your favorite people.

There’s something new to see on Elevator St.! The mural across from the Oregon City Municipal Elevator is officially complete. Created by local artist Cathy Rowe, the artwork features a meadowlark at its center, with the iconic Municipal Elevator on one side and a coyote on the other. Be sure to stop by and see this vibrant new addition to Oregon City's growing collection of public art.
