9x12 oil on gesso board. Desperately wanted to paint plain air this weekend but couldn’t find a spot I felt comfortable pulling off the road and setting up. All the snow made for very narrow margins along the sides of roads. I snapped the reference photo for this while in Cambria NY.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting posting this piece. I couldn’t reveal it before it was gifted. My folks requested a painting for Christmas with the only guidance that it “be colorful”. I hope I delivered! 12x24” oil on cradled panel and set into a floater frame - all that I built!

I was surprised by some of the feedback I received from my last posting so I’m testing the waters a little. This is a 6x6 inch painting I completed a few weeks back at Reinstein Nature Preserve. I’m offering it for sale and posting it across my various social links. I have no idea what will come of this but figured it couldn’t hurt to explore the possibilities!

Plain air session from last weekend with over to Reinstein woods. I’m always envious his watercolor work wraps up faster than painting with oils. We both had pretty stiff, cold fingers after about an hour though. 6x6 oil on wood panel.
