A little bling for the Bombers… alright, 8 inches might be more than a little 😂🥎

Just finished this one up for Citrus Heights Bombers Softball! Really happy with how the navy and gray came out. Had to give it matching links too!

This was a fun one to make, and honestly, we’re looking forward to seeing what the team thinks. It’s one thing seeing it sitting on the table. Seeing someone wearing it with their teammates making a whole scene? That’s the good stuff.

Bombers, somebody go hit a bomb! And send us a picture wearing this thing—we need to see it in action! 💣

A couple of custom hype chains that went out last week to two 8th grade graduates who are celebrating the jump into high school sports - one for football, one for basketball. Congrats to these athletes—we wish you all the luck! 💛💚💙🤍

🍊⚾ **From Logo to Hype Chain**

We recently had the chance to create this custom hype chain for the **Orange Valley Peels Baseball Club**, and this one was a fun project from start to finish.

It started with just a JPG of the team logo, which we then converted into a 3D model. That part took a little more time than originally planned, but we wanted to make sure the details of the logo were captured the right way.

The next challenge was figuring out how to print it in **5 colors**, even though our current setup is built around 4-color printing. It definitely pushed us to think outside the box, but in the end, we were able to refine our process and create a new workflow that allows us to take on custom prints requiring more than 4 colors.

We also tested an epoxy clear coat on a sample piece, but it didn’t turn out to the level we’d want to hand over to a client just yet. So for now, we delivered the clean 3D print version and will keep working on the epoxy process for future upgrades.

That’s one of the best parts of projects like this — they challenge us, help us learn, and push us to keep improving so we can provide better-quality custom pieces with every job.

We truly appreciate our client for trusting us to create this custom piece for the **Orange Valley Peels Baseball Club**. Projects like this are exactly why we love doing custom work — every piece has a story, and this one was a fun one to bring to life. 🍊⚾🔥

Another late night idea somehow turned into a real-world test deployment. 😂

A few weeks ago, I started building and rapid prototyping a new project under the ChaneyAV Creative Labs - LIVE umbrella — a multi-camera live streaming setup for youth baseball.

What started as “this would be cool to try” quickly turned into late nights, cables everywhere, overlays being designed at 1AM, and a full field test during my son’s baseball game this past weekend.

🎬 V1 Test Setup Included:
• 📱 3 iPhones as wireless camera feeds
• 📡 5G wireless gateway for internet + WiFi distribution
• 🎛️ iPad-based live switching/control
• 🎨 Custom overlays, layouts, and graphics
• ⚾ Live stream integration into GameChanger

Overall… the first live test actually went surprisingly well.

That said — in true rapid prototype fashion — I forgot to enable Do Not Disturb on one of the phones, and a phone call from my daughter completely nuked one of the camera feeds mid-stream. 😂

But honestly, that’s part of the fun of building things from scratch. You learn fast in live environments.

So naturally… instead of slowing down, I built V2.

🚀 V2 Upgrades Rolling Out This Week:
• 🎥 4 camera angles instead of 3
• 🔌 Hardwired iPhones for improved stability
• 💻 Laptop-based production control instead of iPad
• 🎨 Fresh overlays, layouts, and graphics
• 📺 Dedicated YouTube stream output
• ⚾ Separate untouched GameChanger stream for cleaner reliability and reduced delay

The next real-world deployment will be during my son’s championship game this week.

If this next version performs the way I think it will, this could evolve into something really cool for local baseball organizations, tournaments, and events — especially with the ability to integrate sponsors directly into overlays and stream graphics.

Still very much in the “let’s see what breaks next” phase… but honestly, that’s usually where the best projects start.

Wrapping all my side ventures into one page.

Between kids, life, and a full-time job, keeping up with multiple pages just isn’t realistic anymore. But the passion for all of this is still very much alive.

From AV projects, live sports streaming (GameChanger multi-cam), digital signage, and creative media… to 3D printing, fabrication, and random tech ideas I probably shouldn’t start at 11PM… this page will now be the home for all of it under ChaneyAV Creative Labs.

This has always been side work built around things I genuinely enjoy tinkering with, learning, and creating.

Appreciate everyone that’s supported the journey so far. If you ever have questions, ideas, or need help with a project, feel free to reach out.

A little project fresh off the printer for my daughter — a model-scale horse shelter complete with a feed basket and fencing details. Really happy with how this one turned out, especially seeing it come to life outside in a natural setting. 🐴🖨️
