From the Boys & Girls Club in Orange two years ago through the Arts Center in Orange, leading multiple Fuxico Workshops with the students was such a great and rewarding experience for us all.

The fuxicos we all made together then were combined into a final artwork and messaging which the students themselves came up with on their own and chose to express. The message was "Be Who You Are For Your Pride" as they were all so frustrated and concerned for themselves, their communities, friends/family who were part of the LGBTQ+ community and the extremist movement in America attacking LGBTQ+ folks and communities.

It was an amazing collaboration with so much positivity and fun at a time of deep concerns and fears.

The youth are much more aware of what has and is going on than most give them credit to, and are navigating the current landmines within America as they figure out who they are and how to live in better ways than their elders.

The youth deserve much more respect, help and dedication so they can feel protected and nurtured in order for them to grow stronger, so they can lead the world into a brighter future!
