Today's Petit Concert!

Many thanks to everyone who attended the reception for Michelle Andrews at Stage on Main last night! The shop was packed, and everyone's wallets were out to support the Orange Revitalization Partnership! Also, thanks to the New Salem General Store and Hannaford for supplying much of the food and drink. We have a wonderful community!

Did I hear you say that you don't have plans for Saturday evening? Now you do! Come to Stage on Main, 17 South Main St Orange, for the reception for artist Michelle Andrews, from 5-8 pm. Michelle will be on hand to talk about her work, and all sales benefit the Orange Revitalization Partnership. Michelle is a former resident of Orange.

Michelle Andrews' artist's reception!

I have tried inviting all of you who follow us, but after spending much time this dear FB puts me back many pages of uninvited. So, instead of taking another hour to repeat my actions (possibly to have them be deleted - again) I hope that all of you see the event and come.

BIG NEWS! Well, okay, kind of good news. We have decided to open an hour earlier, at 10 a.m.! We have had quite a few requests to open earlier, so we are going to give it a try. So, our hours are going to be Wednesday and Thursday 10-4, Friday and Saturday 10-6.

Oh, and Lynn finally dug out her sewing machine. There are new totes bags, more to come, and next week we will have new bowl cozies.

New at Stage on Main! Tabby has been crazy busy dying silk scarves. Janene just brought in a new batch of honey. And we have received a group of paintings done by different artists, from a local private collection. More will be joining these on Friday.

Are you looking for something interesting for your dad or husband? Consider these metal wallets. Anthony makes them in black and red. They open by spreading the elastic apart, but to get the cards out you press on the little thumb hole and they slide right up. And, they are RFID protected.

The engravings are really interesting. One is the Vegisvir, also known as the Norse Viking Compass, which is a magical stave intended for guidance. It is surrounded by the Ouruboros (Jörmungandr) symbolizing eternity and the cycle of existence.

The other is the Yggdrasil, the Norse World Tree (Celtic Tree of Life), representing strength, balance, and interconnectedness.

Of course, as always, we have his catnip tins, now including cats having summer fun!
