It lives in the repetition. The discipline. The choice to stay present.

At The Dance Studio, we believe technique should support the dancer—not silence them. That excellence isn’t perfection, but consistency with heart.

One of the most special things about dance is bringing different levels of dancers together. Younger dancers gain role models and confidence by learning alongside older dancers, while older dancers develop leadership, mentorship, and responsibility as they support the next generation. These connections build teamwork, friendships, and a strong, supportive dance community.

Today marks ten years since we lost one of our own, Victoria Gaignard.

Victoria was only eight years old when she died in the house fire, but she left a mark on The Dance Studio that was far bigger than her years.

Victoria was a force. A true character. Funny, bold, full of personality, and completely herself. When she walked into the studio, you felt it. She had a way of making people laugh, lifting the energy in the room, and bringing a spark of joy wherever she went.

Students of all ages loved her. And long after she was gone, dancers continued to tell “Victoria stories” — the funny things she said, the moments she created, the little flashes of her spirit that were unforgettable. Her personality was so vivid that it stayed alive in our memories and conversations for years.

Her loss left a hole in our community that we still feel today.

Ten years later, Victoria remains part of the story of The Dance Studio. She is remembered in the laughter she brought to our halls, in the memories shared by those who knew her, and in the love that still surrounds her family.

Today, we hold Victoria close in our hearts.

INSIDE/OUT Dance Company in Concert

Did you know?
This year, we are proud to feature 14 student choreographers who have created 12 of the 24 dances in the concert. That means HALF of the work you will see on stage has been choreographed by our own students!

These dancers take on the full creative process—collaborating with peers, selecting music, designing costuming, and working closely with our staff and faculty mentors to bring their artistic visions to life. The result is an exciting and diverse program filled with originality, creativity, and thoughtful storytelling.
We invite you to come support their dedication, hard work, and remarkable talent as their ideas come to life on stage.

Join us this Saturday, March 7th at 4:00 PM for an inspiring afternoon of dance.
