My Stitch did so well on our walk through
We joined their Orange Friday walk 🍊 and enjoyed citrus history, gorgeous views and friendship whole we walked off our holiday plates. His beautiful new collar and lead are handmade by ! Looking good baby boy!

My favorite part of my birthday this year was actually gifting my dad a mosaic that I have made out of his mother's familiar china bowl. A reminder that even the most broken things can be made whole. This was my first mosaic, but I think it was well received, and the experience discovering the process while contemplating life's process was a gift all on its own. I had told him to rescue the shards from the trash, and I think he had forgotten that I had them! Love you, Dad 💙

I took a break. Had a great moment with Mr. Lincoln. Studied some architecture. Spent time with my brother. This past week was a portal to a pit but I made sure today was filled with happiness. It was great to be home 💘

Today was one of those days that made me believe in the magic of time travel. How generous of to share this amazing historic locomotive (actually registered in NRHP as a Structure, how cool is that!), and the gift of a California sunset crowned the experience. Grateful for today, meeting some awesome people in the community and connecting to our railroad heritage.

It's my absolute honor and joy to be included as a contributing author to the Riverside Historical society's new book, "Anthology of Women in Riverside, California, 1870-1970" with my chapter on The Riverside Woman's Club. Based off 3 months of research for in Melanie Lytle's Property Documentation course, and thoughtful representation of our community 's contribution to the broader historic context of women's history, I'm proud to be included as a historian and author in this anthology for the city archives. I’m sorry I haven’t shared this wonderful news— I wanted to sit with it a while before I really shared. I was so wholly blessed to participate in residency in Washington DC and experience my dream trip which on a side adventure led me to meet Abraham Lincoln’s spirit in this place. The extraordinary magic that followed me was profound and I returned from this experience of learning and growing, back to California a changed person. I will carry it with me forever. Abe Lincoln aside, it was the most illuminating, positive growth and fun I’ve had in many years and I look forward to to this amazing reset I’ve had on life, moving forward with new goals for my future and the future of Historic Preservation. I’d like to note the has a wonderful presence of Abraham Lincoln to represent the lonely people. How wonderful to feel so seen and celebrated by the spirit I relate to the most. Beautiful, spiritual surprise here in DC!

Thank you for the invitation to share a historic context with city council this evening regarding our friend the Stanton Depot. My first semester led me to discover and study this unassuming vernacular building- and it's inspiring story! I was able to share an abbreviated version of it tonight and I look forward to ways we can make its history more accessible and interpretive as it resides in its second home at Knott's as Calico Ghost Town Depot. Also, the mural at city hall is endearing and fun! Love love love this building and city council was great! Thankful, grateful 🥰

I stood up for something that's right today and I will always stand up for and advocate for those with disabilities. Disabilities don't always present as what you think they look like. They aren't there for you to cross examine to "help you understand better." Today it was mine and I didn't run away. I gave myself the same respect I give others and it was a brazen act of self care.
