It’s finally happening, Orange!

After many years of planning, community advocacy, and persistence, Orange’s new skatepark at Grijalva Park is officially breaking ground. The project will create a dedicated space for our action sports community to get outside, improve their skills, and have fun.

In addition to the $20k donation from Contenders Boardshop, this project is being paid for with dedicated Park Development Fees—fees paid to the City when new developments are built in Orange. These funds are specifically designated for park improvements. They are separate from the General Fund and cannot be used for day-to-day City services and operations.

Thank you to the residents, skaters, advocates, and community partners who helped turn this longtime vision into reality. We can’t wait to see you out there! 🛹

✨USA250: Celebrate Freedom in Orange ✨
As we conclude our USA250 series, we pause at the Veterans Memorial at Depot Park—a place that reminds us of the people behind our nation’s story.

🌹 This memorial honors the men and women who served our nation and protected the freedoms we enjoy today.

As America marks 250 years, today we remember, we reflect, and above all, we give thanks.

💬 Help us honor family members, friends, or loved ones who’ve served in the military by sharing their name in the comments.

❤️🤍💙 From all of us at the City of Orange, Happy Fourth of July‼️
