Our next Senior we are very fortunate to have been a part of their journey! Congratulations to Jack!
Jack will be attending NYU Tisch in the fall, studying Musical Theatre. I hope to take my skill, talent, and passion to the stages of Broadway and beyond. Thanks to all my friends, family, and instructors who have supported and believed in me!!!

We can not wait to see you on the stage, Jack! Your name will definitely be in lights! So proud of you and grateful to have been a small part of your amazing journey.

SENIOR SEND OFF 🎓💙🎓

This lady has danced with us her entire life, dancing is in her genes. Her smile lights up the room and she keeps everyone laughing, our girl Jada Jones.
Growing up, life was a constant rhythm, shaped by years of dancing from age three all the way to eighteen. Every plié, pirouette, and grand jeté became second nature, teaching me discipline and a love for movement. But it wasn’t just the dance studio that molded me; my family’s business was always right there, a vibrant backdrop to everything. Whether it was the constant movement, the familiar faces, or just the feeling of being part of something bigger, those two worlds, dance and the family business, intertwined to create a truly unique and memorable upbringing. Thank you to Kayla and Demetia for always being there and supporting me. My teachers, Heather, my friends and my girls. I’m signing out and thank you Uncle Ricky much love always.

Jada, we can not wait to see what you accomplish in life. Your hard work will take you far, and your smile will continue to brighten people’s day! Rehearsals and class will definitely be a little less joyous and filled with laughter with you gone. Love you Jada Jones!

Our next senior has been a wonderful addition to our company for these last few years! We are so proud of your growth and passion for dance! Our next Senior Alanis!
Alanis has had a wonderful time at the Orange School of Performing Arts and is sad to see it end. She will be going to Germanna then brightpoint to study Funeral Directory and Mortuary Science. She has been dancing since she was 3, and has loved every second of it. She wants to thank her family, dance family, and everyone that believed in her for becoming her best self.

Alanis it has been such a joy having you at the studio! Your love and passion for dance and growth is inspiring! We can not wait to see what you do in life and so we can follow your journey! Come see Alanis perform today at 2pm at the Company Show!

SENIOR SEND OFF 🎓💙🎓

Our next senior has been around for as long as we can remember. She brightens up every room, rehearsal, and class that she walks into, our girl Abbey.
From the time Abbey started dancing at just three years old, dance has been a huge part of her life. As a senior, she is incredibly grateful for the memories, lessons, and friendships she has gained throughout the years. Her dance family has supported her every step of the way, and she will always cherish the love, encouragement, and unforgettable moments they shared together. Abbey plans on attending Longwood University and majoring in Elementary education in the fall. Thank you for her friends, teachers, mentors for everything 💕

We wish you nothing but the best Abbey! We can not wait to see where life takes you, and we will always be here cheering you on! Come support Abbey tomorrow at our Company Showcase!

SENIOR SEND OFF 🎓⭐️🎓

Next up, another one of our long term company members, legacy dancer, and turn queen: Ms. Amira 💙
Amira Jané was set to be a member of The Orange School of Performing Arts long before she was even thought of. Born of an original Jazz Company member, she is the first legacy child of OSPA. Starting out at the entry level age of 2-3, she hit the ground running in Mini Company at the age of 5. From that point, there was no stopping her! Standing in the wings, she memorized every. single. piece. of choreography that preceeded her own. Knowing one day, that would be her!

Today she stands as one of the top “turners” for the studio. With emotion that you can only get honestly! Following in the footsteps of her Mother, while paving a path all her own. With attitude and sass unwavering, she creates a mood, a vibe, a whole sense of “This is me, here I am!” Planning to attend Germanna Community College as a stepping stone this Fall, Amira plans to pursue a BA in Criminal Justice at the esteemed HBCU Howard University.

Soaring on the backs of her deeply rooted ancestors of Orange County, VA and beyond, Amira Jané is sure to do great things! Giving special thanks to her village: OSPA, her Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Instructors and peers….”I wouldn’t have made it without you!”

We will miss you so much Amira! Our OSPA baby all grown up! We can’t wait to see your journey, and don’t be a stranger! Come see Amira perform her senior send off solo this Sunday at 2pm.

SENIOR SEND OFF 🎓⭐️🎓

It is time to say goodbye to our graduating seniors and up first one of our long time company members, our favorite comedic, funny, sunny gal: Lyra Day Tusing 💙

Lyra Day has been dancing at OSPA since she was 2 years old. She is endlessly thankful for the “second family” that the studio has become for her and wouldn’t trade her time at OSPA for anything in the world. This Fall she will be attending Shenandoah University for her BFA in Musical Theatre and is overjoyed about her future as a performer. She would love to thank her parents, sister, instructors, and senior company for an incredible experience and special senior year.

Catch Lyra dance her heart out this Sunday and perform her senior send off solo! We love and will miss you Lyra Day. Thank you for your dedication to dance and performing, your love and zest for life, and just being you all these years!
