⚠️BEWARE OF SCAMS⚠️
We have been made aware of a phishing scam targeting local vendors! An email is going around inviting vendors to apply for the upcoming Fall Festival by replying directly to the message. This is a SCAM.

The image below contains the actual scam email with irrelevant sections removed for brevity [...]. Let's talk about the key indicators of this scam.

✅Check the Sender’s Address: While this scam email looks convincing, all official emails from Town staff will only come from an .com address.
👀Look at the Application Process: The scammers ask you to "respond to this email". The only official way to apply is through our website www.OPFallFestival.com.
⏰ Beware of "Urgency" Tactics: The scam message claims space is first-come, first-served. Our official municipal vendor selection process does not operate this way.
🧐Watch for Strange Phrasing: The email uses my name, but I would never refer to anything as a "Town Top Event."

While we do occasionally reach out to invite unique potential vendors, we will always direct you to the official website link to submit an application.

When in doubt, do not hit reply or click any links. Please forward the suspicious message directly to me for verification at [email protected].

Town Hall is an additional drop location for donations to the crews battling the wildfires. We just took this load of items to the main drop site at the fairgrounds, and will continue to make trips as needed. If you’d like to contribute, our lobby remains open for drop-offs between 7:30am and 5:30pm.

Most needed items:
💧 Water & Sports Drinks
🥨 Prepackaged snacks (jerky, protein bars, trail mix, chips, etc.)

Town Hall is where the festival is held - 2042 Park Ave.

Look at this response! 👏 Because of your generosity, we’ve already filled these pallets with donations for the crews battling the wildfires.

We are making a transport run down to the main drop site this afternoon and will continue to make trips as needed. If you’d like to contribute, our lobby remains open for drop-offs during normal business hours.
