Bring a friend along - or three! What is Improv? It is making things up as you go along
– no scripts! Classwork will be inspired by the teacher’s Tokyo and New York City Improv training. Do I have to be funny? No. You just have to be you. “The funny” will come naturally. What can Improv do for me? Improv will help you:
• Be more spontaneous
• De-stress
• Boost confidence
• Lift your mood
• Think on your feet
• Stimulate right-brain thinking
• Become a great listener
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Overcome shyness
• Overcome difficulties speaking in front of groups
And you’ll have tons of fun! About the Teacher
Ann Doherty-Hardbattle hails from New York City, and has been doing improv since 2001. She has studied with The Tokyo Comedy Store in Japan, and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB Theatre) and Magnet Theater in New York City . She has had amazing improv teachers along the way, and she desperately wants to pass on her love of improv to the local community, and is thrilled if you would be a part of that!
