and I did a spontaneous mid-day shoot and it turned out great. Super fun, a little chaotic haha, but honestly loved it. Definitely doing it again.

Usually mom says this before their session:
“My toddler won’t cooperate.”

And you know what?
They usually don’t.

They run.
They cuddle.
They hide behind mom.
They laugh for one second and then run again.

But that’s exactly where the magic happens.

Family photos aren’t about perfect smiles and perfectly posed kids.
They’re about the real moments, real emotions, and the way this season of life actually feels.

One day you’ll miss the little hands pulling you, the giggles, and even the chaos. 🤍

So if you’re an OC mama worried your kids won’t cooperate… don’t stress.
Just show up and let them be themselves.

This warm OC weather has me thinking about slow mornings, sandy toes, and the sweetest mommy & me session I captured for this beautiful mama and her little boy 🤍
There’s something so special about photographing that quiet connection — the way he holds her hand, the way she looks at him like he’s her whole world. These moments of simply being together, laughing, cuddling, soaking each other in… they’re everything.
Life feels busy (especially with my own kiddos keeping me on my toes), but sessions like this remind me why I love creating space for mamas to pause and just be with their babies.
And honestly… it’s making me want to plan something special again soon 🌸

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
They were just two years old here… already inseparable.
Sharing snacks, holding hands, following each other everywhere.
The sweetest little friendship I’ve ever witnessed.
And the best part?
They’re still best friends.
I hope they always find their way back to each other

You don’t need a professional setup to make memories.
You just need a little effort and a free afternoon ❤️
I didn’t even have my camera with me 😅
Just my phone and good friends.
The photos didn’t turn out how I imagined (photographer problems haha)…
but you know what?
They had SO much fun.
And that’s what they’ll remember.
If you’re a busy mom or this season just isn’t in the budget — do it anyway.
Make it messy. Make it fun.
Save this for next Valentine’s Day 💌

Tried the wrapping paper frame photoshoot 🎄
Didn’t notice the paper was upside down the first time 🙈
The kids had so much fun taking the picture — and ripping the paper after — that we did it twice 😂❤️
