From the Northern Maine back down to Southern California ☀️. I’m back from my Appalachian Trail thru hike and ready to throw some clay! My journey out east was incredibly transformative and I have lots of new designs dancing around in my head. It feels so good to be back on the wheel - and to be infusing the spirit of the trail in every piece I make 🤎

Just dropped on the Dirtbag Blog: The second step in my ceramic process - throwing on the wheel! This is the most time consuming part of the process for me - but also the most meditative ✨

I also go over all of the new clays that I’m using, like terracotta and black clay. Photos of each included. The different colors and textures are so fascinating to me, and they all have a different feel on the wheel.
