Raised in the neighborhood of the infamous "7 Mile" on the westside of Detroit, Giselle Whitfield's life has always been full of ghetto, never ending drama. From being accused of wanting to sleep with her mother's man at age 9, to being called everything but a child of GOD by the woman who she respectfully called, mother, it was no surprise when Giselle ran away from home to live with her grandmother, the only person in the world she grew to trust. Despite their differences, Giselle truly longed for a relationship with her mother some day. That day never seemed to come and she turned to the streets, trying to make up for what she'd lost as a kid. In her mind, all she needed was a "good" man to make her happy...just like her mother. Now, with three whole months out of the hood, Jodie, the man of her dreams, didn't have to hustle in the streets anymore. Living in the suburb of West Bloomfield, Giselle continues to struggle to be better than the monster her mother tried to create. She will soon find out that building a relationship with her hateful mother and working tirelessly to do whatever it takes to keep her "Prince Charming" happy, is the least of her worries.
