It was nerve wrecking to put on such an event for the first time. There were a lot of unknowns, questions to be asked, and funds to be raised and many, many hands involved. Through it all, God was faithful and provided everything, down to the last penny, down to every willing volunteer. It’s not often that people volunteer for 17 + hours and still have a smile on their face at the end of the day, but when we see God move, nothing is more energizing!
Ontario gained fellowship, connection, hope and of course, people came to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. That was the ultimate goal of this whole event. We know that hope and peace personally, and want everyone in our community to be able to experience that as well. We are beyond grateful to the bands that performed, who are obediently using their talents for the Lord to proclaim the gospel.
Our little community needs more people to believe that we can do big things, bring amazing events to our area, and come along aside and support those who are struggling. Entertainment can be had, that is clean, family friendly, with no drugs and achohol involved.
We want to say thank you to the bands who showed up and put on such an amazing event. To the volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen and of course to our community who showed up.
We are prayerfully considering what next year will look like, but God willing this will be an annual event, with even more music genres.
