Another thing that sets apart is our ability to spotlight artists before the rest of the industry catches on. Most notably, we booked Conway and Benny The Butcher for their first-ever West Coast festival appearance. We also brought out Rome Streetz before he signed with Griselda, Sa-Roc before the release of her Rhymesayers debut, Che Noir for her first West Coast festival performance, The Musalini shortly after his first project with 9th Wonder, and Young Drummer before signing with Empire.

Over the years, that track record has earned THOPFest a reputation as the place to discover artists before they break through and become household names in hip-hop.

One of the best parts of , and one of the things that truly separates us from other events is our undercard.

While most festivals focus on booking acts that are already established, we pride ourselves on knowing what’s next. Since Year One, our undercard has been where we identify the artists who are on the verge of making noise in the culture and give them a platform to showcase what they can do.
