This flower planter is a fossil from the now extinct "Horizons"(1983-1999) in Disney's Epcot Center.

The shape of this planter mirrors that of the iconic shape of the Horizons building.

Horizons was an omnimover attraction that depicted the possibilities of the future through the advancement of technology. It was demolished in 2000 to make room for "Mission: SPACE"(2003-).

This fossil is accessible to guests and can be found in the "Future World" section of Epcot, infront of "Mission: SPACE"

These wooden kiosks are fossils from the now extinct "World Key"(1982-1994) at Epcot.
World Key was an interactive digital service, sponsored by Bell Laboratories, that allowed guests to explore Epcot's attractions, make reservations and video calls. A kind of first generation of the MyDisneyExperiance app.
These kiosks are accessible to guests and can be found in front of guest services to the left of Spaceship Earth. If you look closely you can see that the speakers and lights are still there even though the touch screens and been boarded up.

This ride car (left) is from the now extinct "People Mover"(1967-1995) attraction at Disneyland and the gondola car (right) is a fossil from the now extinct "Skyway"(1956-1994) attraction at Disneyland.
The People Mover attraction was infamously replaced by the poorly received "Rocket Rods" (1998-2000), which had caused damage to the original support structures resulting the permanent closure of both attractions.
The Skyway attraction, after receiving a few referbs and modifications, was eventually closed due to metal fatigue on the support structures.
These Fossils are located outside of the commissary at Walt Disney Imagineering in Burbank, CA and are typically not visible to the general public.
Special thanks and photo credit to for this submission and our first post for the Disneyland park!

This building, now home to the restrooms in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom, was once a loading station for the now extinct "Skyway"(1971-1999).

When the Skyway gondola attraction was closed, all of the pylons were removed and the second loading station in Fantasyland was removed a couple years later. However, the loading station in Tomorrowland remains to be used for guest bathrooms.

Next time you're you run to these bathrooms, try to envision the gondolas entering and exciting from the second floor!

This signage bears the name of the now extinct "Stitch's Great Escape!"(2004-2017) attraction which was replaced by "Stitch's Alien Encounter - Character Greeting"(2017-)

"Stitch's Great Escape" is in theme park purgatory at the moment, as it hasn't been officially announced as being permanently closed. However, it has only been operating seasonally up till 2017 but did not open for the 2018 season, which was after leaked photos appeared on the internet of the stripped animatronics. The "official" future of this attraction is unknown, however the name was officially changed in 2017.

This fossil is visible to guests and can be found along the main walkway and to right of the attraction entrance.

Special thanks to
For finding and submitting this fossil!

This small statue/headstone is an easter egg that pays tribute to the now extinct "Mr. Toads Wild Ride"(1971-1998) at Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida.

"Mr. Toads Wild Ride" was an original attraction in the Magic Kingdom but was closed and replaced by "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh"(1999-) which contains 2 other easter eggs for Mr. Toad as well.

This Easter egg is visible by guests and can be found in the pet cemetery of the Haunted Mansion. The best view is from the exit path after you've left the ride.
