I went to Mystery Hill in Onsted, Michigan expecting a weird roadside attraction. I left convinced something about that hill is off and completely unexplainable.

People have been coming to this Michigan roadside attraction for decades, and after experiencing it myself, I understand why the stories have stuck around.

There is a point where “optical illusion” stops feeling like enough of an explanation.

And then you walk into the Oddities Museum, which does absolutely nothing to make you feel better about any of it.

As we make some repairs and artistic enhancements to Mystery Hill between seasons, we recently uncovered this vintage hand-painted sign on our building that had been covered up for the past couple of years. It's always a delight to rediscover and be reminded of such gems of Mystery Hill history!
