With May coming to an end, I wanted to make a post for full transparency. I will be adding a blog post to our website for more information and further detail.
May was rough for me and my family. Between still unresolved health issues, the passing of one of our pets, and the passing of my grandfather - we had to close early or entirely a few times.
When we were open, foot traffic has significantly decreased. This has left me scrambling to figure out how to pay the bills for next month.
I love this business, and the beautifully eclectic community that has been created around it. I promise, I will still try to fight to keep it alive.
I will be shifting my focus more on online sales and vending. This will result in the shop being closed some weekends, but I will do my best to make sure to let everyone know when we will be closed.
We unfortunately can't take on any new artists at this time, or new inventory unless we previously discussed it. We are paying more to our artists monthly than we have for ourselves. I LOVE that our artists are making money, but we can't continue to support them if we aren't open.
This is not a decision I make lightly, but I want to continue to support our local artists and makers. I want to continue to provide a safe space for the community.
Thank you for all the love and support we have been given, I will continue to use that as my strength to push forward.
