Oneida Basket Guild The Oneida Basket Guild hopes to provide a comfortable and nurturing setting for every level of basket maker from the beginning to the master artist.

After participating in a variety of basket making classes over the years, the founding members decided they wanted to have a more convenient meeting place with the opportunity to develop their skills and share their knowledge with other basketry enthusiasts on a regular basis. The Twatashe’nutslu:níhe Basket Guild was formed in 2009. The guild has informal monthly meetings from September through May and schedules special workshops throughout the year. As a result of forming the guild, members are able to raise funds and hire master artists to teach new basket techniques. Guild members also network with other basket guilds and are involved in a variety of community activities. Twatashe’nutslu:níhe means “all of us make baskets.” Pronounced like: dwa-da-say-noot-sloo-nee-hay
