Altra Prime Times The Prime Times Social Club is sponsored by Altra and is free and open to all La Crosse, WI area residents age 50+. Altra membership not required.

It's time to socialize! The Prime Times Social Club holds free monthly meetings on a wide variety of topics meant to educate and entertain, with complementary refreshments provided by Altra. Group outings are also scheduled throughout the year – including a casino bus trip, summer picnic in the park, catered holiday dinner with live entertainment and more. Meetings and events are held October through June, with a summer break in July, August, and Sept.

Thank you to all the Prime Times members that came out to our annual Prime Times Picnic! Another shoutout to the Altra employees and volunteers that helped make this event a success once again.

Join us Wedesday, May 7th from 1:30pm - 3:00pm for our Prime Times event: The true story of WWII tail gunner Gene Moran.

John Armbruster, author of the award-winning book, “TAILSPIN” is our guest speaker in May. “TAILSPIN” chronicles the true story of Gene Moran, a Solidiers Grove, Wisconsin resident and World War II tail gunner.

In November 1943, Gene was shot down over Bremen, Germany and fell four miles without a parachute and survived. In the next seventeen months, he would endure some of the worst episodes of the American prisoner of war experience in occupied Europe, including relocation to the infamous “Hell Ship.” At the end of the war, he endured a 600-mile forced European Death March before being liberated in April 1945.

Author John Armbruster will include readings from his book along with slides and video of Gene Moran’s story in his presentation. Books will also be available for purchase and signing.

Thank you to all the Prime Times members who joined us for our February, March, and April events!

In February we held our Tai Chi event where members learned gentle Tai Chi movements and learned about the benefits of Tai Chi.

In March, attendees enjoyed traditional Irish Dance.

At our recent Prime Times event, members learned about the important topic of scams and how to avoid them.
