Miss Rodeo Sundre

10/04/2026

Today was move-in day for our 2027 Miss Rodeo Canada contestants!

I’m so excited to watch our 2025 Miss Rodeo Sundre, Jesse Miller, compete for the title of Miss Rodeo Canada! It’s so special to see someone who has worn the Miss Rodeo Sundre crown take the next step and represent Sundre on the largest stage in Canadian rodeo.

Follow along as Jesse takes on this incredible journey! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way, Jesse!

See you on the trail,

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending Jesse’s send-off party before move-in day for the Miss Rodeo Canada Competition!

We got to hear a sneak peek of her speech, help sell some live and silent auction items, play a few games, and, most importantly, wish her the best of luck!

We are both so fortunate to have such an amazing, supportive, and kind Board of Directors standing behind us in our roles as Miss Rodeo Sundre. A few Miss Rodeo Sundre alumni were also there and were able to point out where they signed the infamous green chaps after their reign had come to an end!

I’m so excited to watch Jesse compete next week and am incredibly honoured to be following in her footsteps. I know she will represent Sundre beautifully with her whole heart.

Good luck, Jesse! We’re all cheering you on!

See you on the trail!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, we pause to remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors and their families, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system.

My generation is fortunate to have never experienced residential schools during our lifetime, but the trauma and intergenerational impacts continue to be felt across generations and communities.

Today is a reminder that we have a responsibility to learn, to listen, and to understand the history that has shaped the country we live in today.

Wearing orange today is more than a symbol; it is a reminder that every child matters, and that reconciliation is something we all have a role in.

See you on the trail,

Yesterday wrapped up our last day in Pendleton, and what a way to end an unforgettable week!

We had the privilege of taking part in the Westward Ho! Parade, one of the last non-motorized parades on the continent, riding through Pendleton in a horse-drawn wagon. It was such a special way to experience a piece of the history and tradition that makes the Pendleton Round-Up so unique.

A huge thank you to Susan for arranging this incredible experience for us visiting royalty, and to Boyd for being our personal chauffeur throughout the week! We truly couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

I’m so grateful I got to share this adventure with my fellow Canadian sash sisters: Miss Rodeo Rockyford, Miss Rodeo Wainwright, and Miss Rodeo Moose Mountain!

What an unforgettable week in Pendleton. Until next time!

Last night, we got to experience the Happy Canyon Night Show!

It was such a beautiful display of Native Oregon culture and U.S. history, brought to life right in the heart of Pendleton. If you’re ever at the Pendleton Round-Up, this is definitely a must-see!

I also got to check something pretty special off my bucket list… meeting a few real U.S. Sheriffs!

I can’t believe it was already our last full day in Pendleton for us Canadians. This trip has been an absolute dream, and I’m so grateful for every experience, every new friend, and every little piece of Western history we’ve gotten to experience along the way.

See you on the trail,
