PART Theatre's production of "Every Brilliant Thing" March 20-29 is the rare kind of theater that feels both deeply personal and joyfully communal. Performed by Omaha favorite Chris Berger, this one-person show turns the audience into part of the story—creating a shared experience that is spontaneous, funny, and unexpectedly moving.

The play begins with a child’s list of “every brilliant thing” that makes life worth living—small, ordinary joys that gradually add up to something profound. Along the way, laughter and emotion weave together in a way that reminds us how powerful simple moments can be.

If you enjoy theater that’s intimate, uplifting, and a little different from the usual sit-back-and-watch experience, Every Brilliant Thing offers exactly that: a warm, human evening that leaves audiences smiling, thinking, and maybe even making their own list.

And because it’s interactive and performed in an intimate setting, every performance is unique.

PART Patrons react to AN ACT OF GOD at the PART Theatre
“Lucas Jackson, Chris Berger, and J.J. Davis deliver a spot-on performance. Joe Myrotic sound design enhances key moments, and when Lucas recounts the crucifixion, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Great production - warm and intimate." Tiffany White-Welchen
"Just when you think you know where this show is going, it changes - and then changes again.
Funny, charming, and thought-provoking. Go see An Act of God at PART for irreverent answers and some truly poignant moments from Lucas Jackson as God.” Connie Lee
"Lucas Jackson is brilliant. I roared with laughter. Hilarious yet thought-provoking, the production challenges us to examine what we believe about ourselves and our relationships." Gregg Learned
"Performing Artists Repertory Theatre's An Act of God is a fast-paced, irreverent reimagining of the Almighty addressing humanity. With rapid-fire satire on faith and modern morality, the production delivers both provocation and heart.
A daring show that proves powerful messages are best delivered through laughter." Shannelle
Pokorny
"Lucas Jackson was superb." Maureen Waldron

It's not often that I take on the task of directing two shows at the same time--AN ACT OF GOD and EVERY BRILLIANT THING--but I simply couldn't pass up this opportunity.

Why? Because a new Broadway production of EVERY BRILLIANT THING, starring Daniel Radcilffe, is being mounted at the very same time. Had we not produced it now, it likely would have been a year or more before the rights became available again. We are incredibly fortunate, as New York producers rarely grant community theatres permission to produce a show concurrently with a Broadway run.

Both productions are exceptionally well written and are performed exquisitely by Lucas Jackson, JJ Davis, and Chris Berger - Chris is cast in both productions. You truly won't want to miss either of these shows, each presented in our intimate cabaret-style space. Tickets are still available at a very reasonable price.

Love is in the air...and so is divine judgement. This Valentine's Day, treat your favorite person to a night of laughter, wit, and heavenly comedy at the PART Theatre with the comedy hit AN ACT OF GOD by David Javerbaum.

Direct from the mind behind The Daily Show, AN ACT OF GOD finds the Almighty returning to earth to deliver an updated set of commandments --assisted by a pair of long-suffering angels. It's smart, fearless, and outrageously funny...basically everything a great Valentine's date should be.

Why is this a perfect Valentine's night out?

Laugh-out-loud comedy you'll quote all the way home.

A bold, clever show that sparks conversation.

A shared experience that beats dinner and a movie.

Give the gift of laughter. Chocolate melts. Flowers fade. But a night of laughing together? That's eternal. Valentine's Day performances are popular, and tickets won't last until The Second Coming.

For tickets call: 402-706-0778. Celebrate love, laughter, and a little divine mischief--live on stage. We promise even God approves.

Our PART Boutique will be open before and after each performance and through the month of February - Saturday's and Sunday's from 10 AM to 3 PM.
