Contractor nightmare fuel. 🛑 I just paid $900 upfront to have a new water line run to the front of my house. This rushed, sloppy job with cardboard trash left hanging on it is what I was left with. To make matters worse, the plumber hung up on me when I questioned the quality.Reminder to always check the work before final handoffs—and maybe avoid paying 100% upfront. Has anyone else dealt with this local plumber? Looking for recommendations for an actual professional to check if this is even safe/up to code.

Did the plumber do this right? 🤔I just had some plumbing work completed and want to make sure everything looks correct and up to code. Professional plumbers or DIY experts—does this setup look properly installed, or are there any red flags I should be worried about?Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

Fifth day on the job, How did I do?
Obviously missing industrial covers but this was the solution to the GFCI being blocked by the sink. This is my 5th day as a uni CW, how does it look?

I’m genuinely curious what the issue is here. If anyone sees what the inspector might be calling out, I’d appreciate the explanation. ⚡🧰

What do y’all think?
Because I’m looking at this panel like somebody had five 40 amp breakers, a handful of wire, and absolutely no fear.
The grounds are doing laps, the conductors are freestyle swimming, and that big black cable said, “I’m not entering through a knockout, I’m taking the scenic route.”
This isn’t a sub panel… this is an electrical group project where nobody read the instructions.

Just moved into a house from the late 80s and found something weird while testing the outlets 😳⚡

One garage outlet showed “Hot/Neutral Reverse,” so I opened it up expecting a simple wiring mistake…

But the WHITE wire is carrying power and the black wire is dead. 💀

Now I’m trying to figure out:
Was this just an accidental mix-up during construction that somehow survived for decades?

Or is there some older/odd wiring setup where the white wire was intentionally used as hot?

Can I safely swap them to the correct terminals and move on, or is there something else I should check first before touching it? 👀🔧

Can this panel be mounted upside down?
Hanging this in my metal building this morning and I’m trying to go back-to-back with the meter.
If I can mount it with the main breaker facing down, I could put the meter base directly behind it and feed straight through the back of both.
Seems like it would make the install a lot cleaner… but before I send it, I need to know:
Can I actually mount it this way, or is that a big nope?

Obviously I’m still missing the industrial covers, but this was the solution we came up with because the GFCI was getting blocked by the sink.
This is only my 5th day as a union CW, so I’m still learning and trying to do things the right way.
How does it look? Anything you’d change, clean up, or do differently?
Be gentle… but also tell me the truth.

Three-Gang Outlet Question for the Electrical Pros ⚡

I'm a DIY homeowner working on a project and ran into a question I can't seem to find a clear answer to.

I have one hot wire coming into a three-gang box and was planning to feed the other two devices by daisy-chaining from the first connection. I've searched online but haven't found much information, which has me wondering if that's a sign I'm heading down the wrong path.

Is this generally acceptable practice, assuming everything is properly sized and connected, or is there a reason it shouldn't be done? I know electrical codes can vary by state and local jurisdiction, but I'm curious about the general rule.

Just trying to learn and do things the right way. Please be kind—I'm a homeowner doing my best to understand this stuff before moving forward. Thanks in advance for any advice!
