Richard never sought the spotlight for himself; instead, he dedicated his efforts to nurturing and uplifting others. He did this with grace and generosity, embodying the true spirit of growth and community.

The Omaha comedy community mourns the loss of our dear friend, Richard Belgrave. As the host of Midwest Best and the Big Canvas Stand-up Comedy Artistic Director, Richard's time with us was way too brief. Yet, in that short span, he left an indelible mark on our hearts and souls.

We honor Richard's memory with the theater's ghost light, a sacred tradition to keep his vibrant spirit close to us until the pain of his passing fades. Richard's selflessness and unwavering support for others made him a shining star in our midst—one who loved deeply and cared more than we ever deserved.

Richard never sought the spotlight for himself; instead, he dedicated his efforts to nurturing and uplifting others. He did this with such grace and generosity, embodying the true spirit of growth and community.

Our hearts are heavy with the news of his passing, and we extend our deepest peace and blessings to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness. Richie, you did it so well. We will miss you profoundly.
