**Why people don’t buy from webinar ads immediately.**
GASP.
You poured your heart and soul into your webinar…
Spent $2,000 on ads…
Got 500+ people registered…
And somehow did *not* get a 100% conversion rate from complete strangers on the internet?
Wild. Unheard of. Someone alert Meta.
Here’s what most webinar advertisers forget:
The people who registered for your webinar have actual lives.
Businesses to run.
Clients texting them.
Slack & email notifications popping off.
Karate drop-off at 5:05.
So no, buying your offer is probably not sitting at the very top of their priority list.
Especially if they don’t know who tf you are yet.
Because when a cold lead (aka a stranger) sees your ad, they are usually not thinking:
“OMG, a new program I can immediately buy!”
They are thinking:
“I hope this is actually worth my time and not another bait-and-switch webinar where I get 42 minutes of fluff and a pitch with a bonus stack.”
Registration is not the same as trust.
Showing up is not the same as being ready to buy.
And watching your webinar once does not magically erase the fact that this person just met you.
Trust happens because they keep seeing you solve real problems.
They read your posts.
They watch your videos.
They open your emails.
They hear your point of view enough times to realize you’re legit.
Little by little, a stranger becomes someone who thinks:
“Every time she pops up, I actually learn something.”
That is when buyers are created.
Not always on day one or on the webinar
Sometimes after the webinar, after the follow-up, after the retargeting, after they’ve quietly consumed your content for weeks and finally feel clear enough to say yes.
Your webinar can be incredible.
Your ads can be doing their job.
And people still may need more time before they buy.
It means cold traffic is made of humans, not vending machines.
So expecting people who don’t know you to buy immediately and then getting offended when they don’t is a little entitled (love you..)
The best webinar ads bring qualified relationships (not to be confused with immediate buyers) that become buyers when enough trust has been built.
