π€ PHOTOGRAPHY artists + enthusiasts: Join renowned author/curator Dr. Michelle Millar Fisher and ππππππ ππππ exhibiting artists Rachel Cox and Rose Marie Cromwell for a panel discussion at Bemis.
The trio will explore photographyβs role in constructing personal and political memory, focusing on motherhood in considering how images become repositories for emotion, trauma, and care across time.
π€ ABOUT MICHELLE MILLAR FISHER:
Fisher is the chief curator at Cooper Hewitt in New York. From 2019β2026 she was the Ronald C. and Anita L. Wornick Curator of Contemporary Decorative Arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She also collaborates with an independent team on a book (MIT Press, 2021), a touring exhibition, and a program series called ππ¦π΄πͺπ¨π―πͺπ―π¨ ππ°π΅π©π¦π³π©π°π°π₯: ππ©πͺπ―π¨π΄ ππ©π’π΅ ππ’π¬π¦ π’π―π₯ ππ³π¦π’π¬ ππΆπ³ ππͺπ³π΅π©π΄. Previously she worked at MoMA The Museum of Modern Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. She holds an MA, two MPhils, and a PhD in Art History, and publishes and lectures widely on craft, design, and architecture.
