The main cast killed it!!!! Justice - Dorothy, Terrance (Jr) - Scarecrow, Khloe’lynn - Tinman Imir - Lion!!!! 14 scenes and killed each one!

CayLynn- Glinda, Kenedie- Miss ONE, Evilene, Malcolm - The Wiz, Truths- Gianna, Genesis, and Christal!!!

A these kids ATE!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

ALL INSTRUCTORS: 100% Choreography!! 🔥🔥🔥 each tear they tell the story better and better!

The heat wasn't but the students show up and showed out! I have to shout out all our Thank yous:

My PARENTS AND STUDENTS!!!! ♥️🔥♥️🔥♥️🔥They did amazing! The Village showed up!!! Some things went a little wrong but they held me down! ♥️♥️♥️

Buffy Bush-Porter and her Heaven’s Cry Youth Academy and their TEAM! They came in learned the dances in 2 months and killed it! 🔥🔥

I Heartbeat Dance and Shana in the absence of Mrs Shanketta! They came in KILLED the Red scene as ALWAYS!!!

Glamorous Haus make up artist!!! The kids looked AMAZING!!! ♥️

Command One Event Group and our Board Member Greg Lemons!!!

Riley Security and their team was AMAZING! Listen the amout of communication and professionalism between me and them was AMAZING!!!! You need security hit them up!!!

IT’S FINALLY TIME! 🚨 Doors are opening soon and the show starts at 6:00 PM! Don't hit traffic—come early!

We are bringing The Legacy of the Wiz to life tonight with fresh music, brand-new choreography, and guest features from I Heartbeat Dance and ’scryYouth Academy.

We are going to have an absolute blast!

Shouting out a huge thank you to Command One Event Group for holding down the booth and Riley Security for keeping the venue safe.

Dinner is sorted! Grab food from and other local food trucks on-site. Throw your chairs in the trunk and pull up!

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Justice as Dorothy in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

We are Proud of our Dorothy! This marks Justice's 3rd time making a main role! Congratulations Justice!!!

At 10 years old, Justice is a well rounded kid that participates in sports, student leadership, church, and also has been thriving in dance since she began receiving instruction in 2020. With amazing instructors, she perfects her craft and is passionately molding her own greatness.

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Imiri as The Lion in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

Hi! My name is Imiri and I’m 12 years old. Dance is a huge part of who I am. I love dancing because it allows me to express my feelings, be creative, and have fun. Whether I’m learning a new routine or practicing my favorite moves, I always give it my best effort. Dance makes me feel confident, strong, and happy.

I am kind, hardworking, and determined. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and I like encouraging others to follow their dreams too. Dancing has taught me to never give up, work hard for what I want, and believe in myself. I am proud of who I am, and I’m excited to keep growing as a dancer and as a person. 💖🩰✨

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Khloe' as The Tin Man in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

Khloe’lynn is 14 years old. She will be entering her freshman year at westside high school. Khloe has been dancing since she was 5 years old. Khloe’s favorite style of dance is HipHop and Contemporary. Outside of dance, she a honors student, active in the church and does many other sports. Her favorite wiz scene is Emerald city. In this years wiz, she is playing tinman!

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Terrance as Scarecrow in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

Terrance aka JR is 12 years old. This is his second year in the wiz. He has grown to love and succeed at dance. He enjoys performing in the wiz because he can express his personality in different ways and characters. Besides dance Terrance is an amazing student and is active in his church. Last year he was the mysterious wiz and now he will be taking on the role of scarecrow!

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Glinda, Miss One, and Truth aka Totos! CayLynn as Glinda, Kenedie as Miss ONE, Gianna and Genesis as Truth aka Toto Act I and Christal in Act II in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

CayLynn as Glinda

CayLynn is going on her 4th year dancing with AP. CayLynn has blossomed as a dancer during her time at AP, she loves her teachers and her fellow dancers.

This year she is Glinda in “AP’s Legacy of the Wiz”. This speaks to her charismatic loving yet spunky personality, she loves all things girly and sparkle and can’t wait to show off her hard work and hours of practicing in the studio.

Meet Kenedie as Miss ONE

She is excited to be representing Miss One in The Legacy of the Wiz alongside all of the talented Munchkins.

Kenedie will be an incoming seventh grader at Liberty Middle School this fall. She has been dancing since the age of three and is now in her third year performing with Aunt Phyllis's Legacy in The Legacy of the Wiz.

Through Aunt Phyllis's Legacy, Kenedie has been blessed with many opportunities to perform throughout the community. She especially loves being part of the close-knit dance family and the friendships she has built with her fellow dancers. Kenedie is grateful for the experiences, growth, and memories she continues to make through this special program.

Gianna & Genesis as Truth aka Toto Act I

Gianna is a very intelligent soon to be 1st grader. She enjoys staying active with dance, gymnastics, sports, makeup and she loves to read. She wants to be a singer and a scientist when she grows up. She's playing Toto. Her favorite part of the Wiz is the Lion!

Genesis is a super social butterfly. Very funny and creative. She loves donuts, dancing, singing, mermaids and dogs. She's been with AP Legacy since she was 5 years old. She's playing Toto and looking forward to scaring away the crows.

Christal as Truth aka Truth

Christal is 9 years old. She will be going to the 4th grade this upcoming school year. She is an A&B student, and one of the sweetest kids you’ll ever meet. Christal loves dancing and participating in track and field. Her favorite dance styles are Jazz and Hip Hop, and shes inspired by her teachers here at AP.She inspires others with her determination to get things done despite all obstacles. Her favorite scene is the Scarecrow scene.

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Malcolm as The Wiz In "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

Malcolm is excited to play The Wizard in this production of The Wiz! He’s been able to grow his technique and love for performing through AP’s Legacy Dance. He has applied his technical training at AP to his middle school show choir where their team had an incredible year. Malcolm is especially thankful for AP because everyone there makes every student feel supported and encouraged. He looks up to his instructors as mentors and role models and as a result, dance is an integral part of his life. When he’s not dancing, he’s obsessed with fishing, loves shooting hoops, and enjoys being outside whenever he can.

Aunt Phyllis' Legacy Academy's Dance Studio introduces Za’Ryiah as Evilene in "The Legacy of the Wiz ".

Za'Ryiah is 13 years of age. She will be heading to 8th grade the next school year at nathan hale middle school. During her free time she likes to dance, run track, and play volleyball. Za'Ryiah loves dance because it's a way to express herself without using her words. She's been with AP dance studio for almost a year and overall has enjoyed her experience and time with her peers and teachers. Her favorite dance is sassy jazz that's when she feels most herself when it come to dancing. Outside of dance Za'Ryiah is a A and B student.

Za'ryiahs favorite scene from the wiz dance performance is "Meet the wiz".
