Ind. Escape Rooms

Hi everyone! It has been a long time coming, but now there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. We have signed a lease for a location at 138th and Industrial Road. It was not zoned for Indoor Entertainment, so we had to submit a Special Use Permit request to the city. It goes to the Omaha City Council for approval in two weeks. Then my contractor will need two weeks for construction of walls for the individual game rooms. Then I will need a little time to finish dressing out the rooms and installing the props. I think that I might be ready to sell the first game tickets by mid April! My web developer is reworking the website, so it should be ready to go soon.

Since this will have an Industrial Road address I decided to go with Industrial Escape Rooms as the business name.

Since my last update I have been busy aquireing props and building puzzles. I can't wait to start sharing the fun with everyone.

In the meantime, I am still looking for one or two people that might be interested in a career change and would like to work in an escape room. Please let me know if you are interested.

Well folks, I regret to say that our Kickstarter campaign was not successful. I am now starting to work on getting a bank loan. Because.....Failure to open is NOT an option!

My health Insurance guy Ron Morss took me to several networking groups yesterday, The Millard Business Association's "Bagels and Business", "Centersphere" and "TGIF" groups where I met a lot of nice people. Hopefully, I can get some traction in getting the word out. If you are thinking about making a pledge, the clock is starting to wind down, don't let it run out. Remember even small pledges add up.
