CTRL+ALT+SCRIPT
The Florentine Players are excited to announce auditions for “Ctrl+Alt+Script,” a brand-new original comedy written and directed by Kirk Adams.
SYNOPSIS
Keith Becker, a struggling playwright on the verge of being blacklisted after a string of failures, turns to AI to write his next play. When his submission is mistakenly attributed to a legendary playwright, a small community theater leaps at the opportunity to produce what they believe is a lost masterpiece.
With auditions underway and rehearsals spiraling into chaos, Keith scrambles to maintain the illusion as his cast struggles to make sense of the increasingly nonsensical script. But when the truth comes out mid-performance, the company must decide whether to salvage the play… or let the deception collapse on stage.

CHARACTERS
Keith Becker – Male
A passionate but struggling playwright who suddenly finds himself “writing” and directing a wildly unconventional new play.
Margot Fields – Female
A practical member of the theatre board who keeps one eye on the budget and the other on the survival of the company.
Arthur Bloom – Male
An enthusiastic theatre lover and board member who believes every production has the potential to be historic.
Celeste Monroe – Female
An earnest and imaginative actor who approaches every role with passion and artistic conviction. Cast as “The Chorus of Wires” in the play-within-the-play.
Pamela Hargrove – Female
A sharp and unflappable stage manager determined to keep the production from completely falling apart.
Henry Alcott – Male
A seasoned and confident actor with strong opinions about theatrical craft and very little patience for nonsense. Cast as “The Phantom of the Operating System.”
Bradley Carmichael – Male
A flamboyant and self-important actor who treats every role as a career-defining performance. Cast as “The Algorithm.”
Oliver “Ollie” Pritchard – Male
A shy but sincere theatre student experiencing his first major production. Cast as “The Coder.”
