Ellie.... 15 years. A hamstring injury that couldnโt stop her and a heart that is so completely made for this ๐
She started at three years old and somewhere along the way she became someone who knows exactly who she is because of dance.
In her own words: โI have learned more about myself through dance than through anything else in life. Dance has taught me how to be myself.โ
She worked through one of her hardest seasons, an injury in the middle of her senior year, and came back happier than ever. Because thatโs who Ellie is. She reminds herself itโs only 24 hours, she keeps working even when no one is watching, and she never loses sight of why she started.
โI think of my younger self and remember how badly she wanted to be like the older girls. I am now that older girl.โ
To the little ones in the studio watching her walk out these doors; this is what it looks like to grow up here. To be shaped by something you love!
We are so proud of the young woman youโve grown into, Ellie. The love that flows from this studio daily? You helped create that.
Go get it at UNK. Weโll be your biggest fans from here ๐
