“…an evening of powerful music, moving performances, and songs that span generations of American history.” ~Midlands Business Journal

What happens when protest songs meet the stage? In her review of Bluebarn Theatre’s season opener, "Rise: Songs of Resistance and Resilience," Midlands Business Journal Executive Editor Daisy Hutzell-Rodman explores an evening of powerful music, moving performances and songs that span generations of American history.

From familiar anthems to unexpected standouts, Hutzell-Rodman shares why this original revue struck a chord and what it signals for Bluebarn’s 38th season.

The gallery is free and open to the public during box office hours (10am-4pm, M-F), and starting 45 minutes before scheduled performances of RISE.

Join us before Saturday's performance of RISE for a pre-show art chat with curator Josh Brown and artists Pamela Conyers-Hinson and Anthony Peña, starting at 6:50pm in the BLUEBARN lobby.

National Theatre Live kicks off this Saturday with MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION! Five-time Olivier Award winner Imelda Staunton (The Crown) joins forces with her real-life daughter Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) for the very first time in Bernard Shaw’s incendiary classic.

Vivie Warren is a woman ahead of her time. Her mother, however, is a product of that old patriarchal order. Exploiting it has earned Mrs. Warren a fortune – but at what cost?
