That's a wrap on Summer Classes!🎨🖌️❤️🌊☀️We will have our annual field trip to the Joslyn on Saturday, August 29th 11am-12:30pm and then start up Saturday classes again September 12th, 19th, & 26th. I loved every moment of our fun, creative summer classes! Thank you!❤️XOXO Historic Dundee

One of the most important things I do as an art teacher is know when to step aside. Every child already has ideas waiting to come to life. My job isn't to tell them what to create- it's to give them the skills & confidence to bring their own vision to life. I believe the best education happens when children are trusted to think, imagine, & create for themselves. ❤️✨

What a special evening with Benedict and Emma as they celebrated their 2nd anniversary at Dreamland Art Studio. ❤️

They brought photos from their trip to Italy and spent the evening turning cherished memories into paintings. Benedict, who had never painted before, created a beautiful painting of the boat they took out to scuba dive. Emma painted the place they stayed in Salerno with her own soft, stylistic rendering.

These two were such a joy to spend time with, and I loved hearing about their adventures while watching their memories come to life on canvas. Thank you for celebrating with me, and cheers to many more years of love, laughter, and adventures together. 🎨✨

We learned about Pop art today and practiced some blind contour drawing then went right into drawing and painting on our canvases! Everyone came with their own vision and were eager to bring it to life. 💡❤️🎨☀️ Historic Dundee
