Hold onto your hats and grab your Shakespeare loving bestie as we head to Ephesus for:

💥THE COMEDY OF ERRORS 🎉

Two sets of twins, one very confused city, and an alarming number of shenanigans.

Join us for one of Shakespeare’s most farcical and fastest moving plays packed to the brim with laughter, absurdity, and heart. We’ll be announcing performance dates and venues soon, so stay tuned for more details 👀

Until then, mark your calendars, keep your wits about you, and prepare for a summer full of errors 🌀

Join us in bidding a “Good night, sweet prince” to OSSO’s 💀 Hamlet 💀

And what a way to say goodbye.

Our final performance, as part of Shake Night with Opera Omaha at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center, was a reminder of everything we love about this feral, ephemeral thing we do: incredible community collaborators, new audiences mixed with die-hard fans, and a room full of people engaging with a 423-year-old story. Pure community magic ✨

Thank you to for their partnership and hospitality, to the audiences (new and old) who shared space with us, and to our wonderful company of co-conspirators who make this machine run.

Swipe through for a few of our favorite moments from Hamlet’s final bow, captured by the awesome . And when you get to the two last slides — look alive! We’ve left you some clues.

What do you think is up next for OSSO? Drop your guesses in the comments 👇 and stay tuned for our summer title announcement on Friday (tomorrow).

We are just three days away from Shake Night — our collaboration with Opera Omaha at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center on June 6.

The evening begins with Unshakeable, a one-act opera set in a post-apocalyptic world where survivors struggling with memory loss rediscover Shakespeare as a way to hold onto language, identity, and each other - see a sneak peek below 👇

Then audiences will head to the Hoff Center bar for our reprisal performance of Hamlet - a play about grief, survival, uncertainty, and trying to stay human in a world that feels broken.

✌️Two wildly different theatrical experiences.
☝️One shared Shakespearean iambic pentameter heartbeat ✨

One ticket (link in comments) gets you access to the full double feature experience 👉Unshakeable followed by Hamlet.

A SHAKESPEARE DOUBLE FEATURE??

We are officially just over TWO WEEKS away from Shake Night — our collaboration with Opera Omaha at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center on Saturday, June 6.

The evening begins with Unshakeable, a one-act opera set in a post-apocalyptic world where survivors struggling with memory loss rediscover Shakespeare as a way to hold onto language, identity, and each other.

Then audiences head downstairs to the Hoff bar for our raw, immediate, actor-driven Hamlet - a play about grief, survival, uncertainty, and trying to stay human in a world that feels broken.

Two wildly different theatrical experiences. One shared Shakespearean iambic pentameter heartbeat ✨

One ticket gets you access to the full double feature experience 👉Unshakeable followed by Hamlet.

LISTEN UP OMAHA!

OSSO’s 💀HAMLET💀 returns for one night only in a special TICKETED event👇

We’re beyond excited to partner with Opera Omaha for “Shake Night” — a one-night-only double feature at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center on Saturday, June 6.

The evening begins at 7 PM with a one-act opera “Unshakeable” — a post-apocalyptic story of memory, survival, and Shakespearean language.

Then, after the opera, audiences will head downstairs to the Hoff bar, where Old School Shakespeare Omaha will perform Hamlet.

🎟️ One ticket gets you access to BOTH performances. This is a full double feature experience - tickets are not sold separately for each show. To be extra clear: there is no separate admission for Hamlet, and entry to the OSSO performance is only available through a ticket to the full Shake Night event.‼️

It’s Shakespeare after the apocalypse. It’s opera in Council Bluffs. It’s Hamlet in a bar. What more could you want on a Midwest (almost) summer evening??

✨THANK YOU, OMAHA ✨

We had an intergalactic BLAST sharing A Renew’d Optimism with all of you last week!

We enjoyed two sold-out nights, walk-ups we were still somehow able to squeeze into the galaxy, and a room full of people willing to say, “Yes, I would like to watch Shakespearean space nonsense with a bunch of weird theater folks” - yall are our kind of people!

A Millennium Falcon sized thank you to our hosts at for welcoming this little experiment into their Branch Out Series and helping us bring it to life.

This community continues to remind us that there is so much room for bold, scrappy, and joyful theater AND that sometimes all it takes is nine actors, one hour, and a deeply questionable idea to make some magic ✨

Enjoy these shots from our journey to a galaxy far, far away-ish by the awesome Sara Sawatzki Scott.

Laugh long. Draw blood. May the force be with you!
