Carey Harder started the theatre program at Buena Vista four years ago when the school first opened in 2022. This was a huge undertaking which she accomplished with confidence and pride. Each year after Buena Vista’s inception, the theatre program grew and Mrs. Harder welcomed more and more talented students eager to learn about theatre! This year some of the freshmen that Mrs. Harder welcomed her first year are seniors and have taken their final bows during the spring musical. This will also be Mrs. Harder’s final bow as the Drama director and teacher at Buena Vista. Mrs. Harder is exiting the stage for now to focus more on her family.

Please join us in thanking Mrs. Harder for establishing the theatre program and turning it into what it is today. The program has grown so much since its first year and we could not be more proud of her and our students. The Buena Vista theatre family will miss Mrs. Harder immensely, but we hope she enjoys her time with her family at home. And we hope that Mrs. Harder comes back to visit to see how much the theatre program has grown in future years.

Buena Vista held our first annual Drama Banquet tonight where we had dinner, honored our Seniors, inducted new Thespians to Troupe 11284, gave out awards, announced our season for next year, & definitely didn't cry when Mrs. Harder said her goodbyes. 🥹 Overall it was a very eventful night and here are just a few pictures to highlight it. 💕🎭
